Carreno is likely going to be a reliever down the road, but will likely get the start in Mills spot.

Rasmus hit a monstrous home run top of the inning. 4 zip jays with Romero dishing...

Jays up 7-0 now. Lawrie impressive....

Jays have a good team.....maybe get rid of Hill and JP and switch them with their top prospects or two big bats and they could really give the Yankees and Bo Sox some competition.

I'm liking how the Jays offence could look. Get Rasmus and Lawrie hitting like they have these past couple days and that adds a lot of depth to the lineup.

Cahill rocked again, lots of people in the A's organization are really worried that last year was really just one of those years where everything goes right for a player. He has just lost his command.

Its really too bad for the Jays that they don't have another legit starter to follow up behind Romero. Morrow could be that guy if he was just a little more consistent.

I'm personally not worried about Cahill. It really looks like a bump in the road where his mind is sometimes not focused and that occasional pitch gets thrown right down the centre. Next year we'll see. Oakland does wonders with their pitchers.

Amazing that only 1 team in the AL Central has a positive run differential (Cleveland +6) and only 1 team in the AL East is negative (Baltimore -138). If only they'd move the Jays to the Central, they'd tear it up.

I wish they'd scrap the central, and move Detroit and Cleveland to the East, and put the others in the West, and balance out the schedule a bit. Than for the playoffs, Division winners get in, and two wild cards who could come from either Division. So if the AL East has the two best non Division winners, those are your Wild card teams.

As poor as Cahill was last night, Harden made more than up for it tonight with a gem. 11 k's through 7 innings of work. 2-0 A's bottom of 8.

I hated tonights game... when they K'd three times in a row with the bases loaded and no one out in the 1st I could pretty much tell right then that it wasn't going to go well.

Jays lack of patience (Jose aside) did them in tonight.

Drew Hutchison promoted to New Hampshire (AA), after posting a 5-3 record with a 2.74 ERA in Dunedin (A).

Justin Nicolino likely getting promoted into Hutchison's spot at Dunedin.

Now that was the Gio Gonzalez that I've come to know. He was really dealing tonight. 2 great pitching performances in a row from the A's starters. Hopefully there is one more from Moscoso tomorrow afternoon.

Just saw that pointless TSN segment "Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down" and watched Cybulski give the Jays a thumbs down for not "ponying up" and signing Beede, and then ripped on the Jays for having a small payroll. Really terrible assessment of what the Jays are trying to do right now, and a large lack of understanding of where/when they are going to spend money.
