Default Concert at Rexall Place

Sorry wrong thread. Could a mod move to Off-Topic? Thanks.

I am going to a concert there on Friday and after the U2 gongshow I was hoping for some advice on the best way to get to the arena and whether there is any parking that people could recomend. I don't mind paying up to about $20 to be able to park relatively close.

Should I plan to take the train and if so from which station? I am driving up from Calgary.

Thanks in advance.

(btw no chirping about going to Taylor Swift, I have 6 and 10 year old girls.)

Haha I was just about to ask if you were going to T-Swift. A bunch of my buddies are going up there for it.

Whenever Im up there, I find the best parking is at the special event lots that pop up right across the street.

Edit: IIRC they're $10 - 15, and the best perk is not having to fight your way out of the on-site parking.

OP, if you PM me I'll give you the perfect parking place. It's free and about a seven-minute walk from Rexall.

^ I would take his offer, or park and ride from Century Park (especially since you are coming from the South). Traffic can be pretty hectic when trying to get out of a sold out concert like Swift.

I went to the U2 concert as well and was able to get to Southgate on the LRT like 25 minutes after in ended. Pretty good time considering, but this one shouldn't be as bad since it's just Rexall.

I guess if Taylor Swift decides to stay in edmonton, she'll fit right in with the other girls on the team.

Bump - I'm looking at tickets for the Roger Waters concert next week and was wondering:

Section 219, 25 rows up. Is that 20 rows up in that section or is it 25 rows from the bottom down in the 100s. I thought I had heard somewhere that their rows are numbered from the bottom up, regardless of section.

Yeah, I've seen this movie. It usually ends with someone's head being mailed home in a box.

that would be the 25th row from the floor, the second level continues where the first left off.

Pfft, I take it from Titan's quote below that my directions were good, he found the spot and it was close to Rexall. My area is free, legal and very close. If anyone else wants to use it, let me know. It's guaranteed no ticket, unlike my friend who had a free event ticket and parked in a Safeway lot and returned to a ticket that was roughly the same as the price of his event ticket.

On the topic of Rexall Place, don't go to a concert there unless you have absolutely no other options. The sound is terrible. I'd rather drive to GM place....
