I don't understand Chamakh, he came out guns blazing last season. 10 goals, filled in nicely in RvP's absence, etc. Since then, he's been completely useless.
Wenger seems to have a real success turning Wingers in to strikers (Henry, RVP, Walcott is coming along as well)
but when he gets big, tall, talented strikers they seem to bust. Bendtner and Chamakh

I blame Bentdner.
A lot of people, even some who’s opinion I highly respect, are blasting Chamakh for his terrible form but what do they expect from a guy who started off very well and was promptly dropped to the bench once RvP and Bentdner returned from injury. Even the best players need match experience to keep sharp and with Arsenal's formation only utilizing one striker match time for our strikers is limited. Instead of giving our new guy time when it was available, i.e. cup matches, the time was given to Bentdner. A few years ago, my cousin and I were discussing how the Bentdner Effect may have played a role in Vela’s stalled development.
I will admit Chamakh looked pretty bad last night but the man needs proper match experience before we can write him off, anything else will be too hasty. Also, people are saying that they prefer Super Nik; really? He may have scored a few key goals but the man was streaky and unreliable. At least with Chamakh you know you’ll either get the goals or frustrating dummies.

This goalkeeper is putting on a clinic. He is just getting absolutely peppered with shots, Bayern have hit the post twice but hes keeping his team in this game.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Interesting, the Real/Barca game, these guys are making themselves look like petulant children. There are patches of this game that are just getting out of hand. People rolling around everywhere.
Fabregas makes his Barca debut.

If the Real match vs Tottenham wasn't enough to convince me that Marcelo is an absolutely despicable player, this Supercopa has surely done it.
I'm certainly not excusing Barca's reactions, but it's definitely a derby type game so emotions run hot. For a player of his undoubted talent, I think Messi is still very subdued and humble. He cheered and kissed the badge, but he's been at the club since he was little so that's understandable.
I think if the Greaseball had scored, his celebration would've probably involved a parade and carnival animals.
