I think most of the current Republican Party would be worse than Bush. As sad as that is.
As for Michael Moore, he's usually right about the issues but is sensational in order to make his point standout farther. His cynicism is well-founded in a way, because that's the only way to convince most people. However, I hate it and I'd respect him a whole lot more if didn't use all the shady tricks that he does.
Tranny, you seem to fail to see things with any subtly. Moore is not Limbaugh. Limbaugh lies constantly, he incites hatred, he's a racist and a bigot. Moore is an ethically questionable documentary filmmaker. Different leagues.

Here is one link regarding Michael Moore's anti gun documentary. It was actually very easy to find. The hard part was picking which link or which documentary to highlight.
Bill Maher caused me to LOL the other day - he called the Bachmanns the "Indoor Palins".
I have seen the Daily Show and enjoy the comedy. I do hope you know that Jon Stewart isn't above taking things out of context himself. He can cut and splice with the best of them.
I like him because he is funny but, I do worry that there is a segment of America who relys on him for their political understanding. That is a little scary.
Bill Maher is worse than Rush for crudeness. He also lacks the talent of Jon Stewart as a comedian. I refuse to watch his show.
I think a supposed fiscal conservative cutting taxes when increasing spending for 2 wars is tough act to beat. Half the current deficit is from his 8 years.

I'm not sure but historically the accepted way to get out of a recession is to spend. It's just too bad that Bush emptied the cookie jar before he left and now the crazies are calling for a balanced budget. Obama's been left between a rock and a hard place.

I honestly want to know how much conservative radio and tv you tune in to.
You're a damn merry-go-round when it comes to these topics. Would it kill you to seek out your own information?
I was actually looking at the figures while you were posting. You don't want to see where Obama will put the country if he wins a second term.
The reason why I ask the question is because if I just gave you the answer you would ignore it. You've got to look beyond the talking points of your faviourite political commentator.

No kidding scary....
I have probably seen about 15 episodes of Stewart, and its nothing more than a comedy show with some decent political guests, but not much substance to it overall. He's pretty good at carrying Obama's water.
I have never listened to Rush Limbaugh before, but I don't mind Michael Savage.

Spending doesn't do much more than help businesses and people short term until the economy heats up again. it does nothing to "get you out of a recession".
Businesses shed jobs in response to losses and a stalled or retracting economy. Those who survived are starting to make profits again. They won't be hiring again until they see market opportunities. Some short term cash infusion from the government won't move them foreward.
It doesn't help that the President paints business as the bad guys. Introducing Obamacare in the middle of a recession also hurt things. Energy production has help Canada weather this recession. Obama is against all energy production that is carbon based. America is poorer because of it.

From what I've read big business is sitting on more money than they know what to do with. Someone needs to kick start the economy. This is the best time to rebuild the infrastructure such as roads and bridges as when the the economy heats up, the price will go up.
Last I heard they are still drilling in the Gulf and looking towards clean energy alternatives shows some regard for the future.
My two faviorites right now are Kilmeade & Friends and the John Gibson show.
I don't get Michael Savage where I'm at right now. He is very in your face and loud but, I do appreciate his willingness to address taboo issues on his show. He certainly doesn't conform to Republican talking points.

Yes there is some money out there but, there is no reason for them to hire or expand while the economy is stagnate. GM for instance is making money now because they have less employees to pay. It's not because they are selling a ton of product. They won't be hiring any significant amount of employees until they find they can't keep up with orders.
Resource base industries like energy, mining, or timber are what will jump start an economy. They are needed commodities that will sell in slow times and they produce a lot of spin off jobs.

The political stuff MM puts out on his web site or in interviews is one thing but, a documentary shouldn't distort facts.

So you're able to Google whether Michael Moore is a liar or not, but not able to do the same for Rush Limbaugh? You're the one that asked the question, yes? Or would finding the just as easily accessible information on Limbaugh's lies conflict with your preconceived slant on politics? I'm curious to know this.

Link? I am sure it's some 'unbiased' conservative link.
What are you thoughts on Bush cutting taxes while increasing spending contributing to half of the current deficit? You continue to avoid these questions.
Historically, you should increase spending while in a recession but Bush caused such a mess in 8 years that they need to cut spending as per the bill last week. On top of that they'll eliminate the Bush tax cuts plus have to increase taxes to get out of this deficit mess.
I think you'll see an improvement in the deficit under Obama. I don't know how much you can credit to Obama though as I think any president following Bush and given this mess would have to do the same thing.
I agree. The system (and political culture) in which Barack Obama is operating makes it almost impossible to enact his agenda and make real change happen. Almost completely intractable at this point.
The Republicans dont even call the shots in their party anymore. The tea party does. Basically a small group of corporate pupets who can't be negotiated or reasoned with. Heck even Boehner (sp?) couldn't pass a bill in his own party, and he is the leader.
These people are holding the US and the world economies hostage, all in the name of 0% tax to their rich owners. So what is Obama to do? See the world go into depression, or barely pass a bill where he gets raked over the coals.
Make no mistake the USA is crumbling like Rome right before our eyes. It wouldn't scare me as much, if I didn't know who is next in line to lead the world. Yes, a world with an unchallenged China is a very very scary thought indeed.
