Those work for wasps, not sure about bees. My mom put up two at her house.

Also, I'm not sure about a whole community/nest/hive. I think they more discourage them from setting up camp. If they already have a hive there it may be past that point. In the situation I was think about there were many wasps, but I don't think they had built a nest yet. Just that they were starting to. IE hanging around certain areas.

They do work good for small-moderate problems though.

7 years after this thread started, I am having the same issue. Bumblebees in my detached garage roof.

the link in this thread is dead, and I dont know of any apiarists....Anyone here know of people that can help with this problem?

Same situation - same location and looking to have them removed alive.

The fake wasp nests did a great job keeping the wasps away but apparently, the bees don't mind it at all.

If anyone has suggestions on how to deal with a spring-long battle between crows and magpies, it has simply got out of hand and all I can think of is that they are attacking each other's nests.

Bees are cool, but wasps can f--- right off.
