Harry Redknapp has rekindled his bid to bring former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor to Tottenham in a sensational swap for Aaron Lennon.

Adebayor is out of favour at Manchester City but his £170,000-a-week wages were preventing a move to White Hart Lane.

Even a loan move was proving too expensive for Spurs but, according to the Daily Mirror, Redknapp could get his man if he lets England winger Lennon leave for the Etihad Stadium.

City manager Roberto Mancini is keen to sign a wide player and turned his attention to Lennon as Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger remains reluctant to part with Samir Nasri.

so basically he will be the exact same player when he is mid 20's as he is at 17

It's going to happen, I don't think there has really been much doubt about the transfer fee United would have to pay to Inter but more that Sneijder did not want to take a wage break to fit into United's pay structure.

I think that Nike will probably move in here and cover the difference in wages, as they have been known to do in the past, since they stand more to gain from having Sneijder in a United kit then in the Inter colours.

Hopefully bringing in Sneijder will make Rooney demand a transfer to hold out for another £200+k/wk....

The thing with United in recent history is that they seem to always be able to make these type of things work. They will get Sneijder to sign up at a "reduced" wage bill and things will all be good at Old Trafford.

Then we will see Nike giving Rooney and Sneijder a raise through endorsements and using them as the main figures in a new advertising campaign leading up to Euro 2012.
