I loved the sound editing in the opening sequence. Made me glad to have invested so much into my home theater.

My guess is that he is going to rehab, Mike will scare him a bit before taking him there

the moment with Mike in the back of the truck was great, Walt/Hank stuff was great with Walt trying to get as much info as he can about the case

just a fantastic hour of tv

That was an awesome scene. It did a fantastic job making you feel anxious and nervous for Walt as their conversations unfolded. There were a few times I wondered whether Hank really was buying the gambling story. He'd make you think he was and then he'd say something that almost seemed like he was winking at Walt, letting him know that he knew, you know?

And Walt's reaction to "WW" - he could have aroused a lot of suspicion by acting the wrong way. I think Hank bought it but there's just enough doubt lingering to make every encounter with Walt subtly tense.

^^I quite enjoy how they toy around with the idea of Hank figuring out what Walt is up to, Hank will ask a question, rather harmlessly, but there's part of you that thinks maybe he has figured it out. He gives these looks like he's not buying it, but then he says something to indicate he has bought Walt's story. They have been quite good at showing Hank to be a more than competent DEA agent, and he's managed to figure out a lot of it. Keeps it interesting. He found Tuco and all that out in the desert, granted he stumbled into that looking for Walt, but I like that the show doesn't portray him as a smart cop and then make him look dumb. He figures it out and follows up.

Loved Walt subtly trying to wedge his way into the case, using the opportunity of Hank saying he could talk to him, by suggesting he could do the same. Walt is good on his feet. I'll give him that, and the bit about Whitman, nicely done.

I loved the bit with Mike's ear, him trying to prop it back up.

I miss Jesse's hair already, but he's really looking the part of chaotic druggie riddled with guilt.

As for what is going on with Jesse and Mike, I imagine it's a scare tactic, try and make Jesse appreciate he's still alive or something, to get him back in line. Whatever happens though, it's gonna be good. The preview looked sweet.

Anyone think Hank already knows? I can see some reasons why he wouldn't put Walt away until he gets more on Gus's organization. There is really something about the kind of half-joking, half-seriously intense back and forth between him and Walt, like the above posters observed. Almost seems like he is a human lie detector, making these comments and then observing Walt's reaction.

I've had the memory of Gale singing that weird song stuck in my head for too long. The "loose" translation is pretty interesting.

Crapa pelada fa i turtei, ghe ne da minga a so fradei

So fradei fan la fritada, ghe ne dan minga a crapa pelada

The Bald head makes noodles, He doesn't give any to his brothers.

His brothers make bread, they don't give any to the Bald head.

Gale Boetticher does Peter Schilling

BTW: Any "Flight of the Conchords" Fans may remember that the guy (David Costabile) that played "Gale" was "Doug" the husband of the whacky Mel chick that was always after Brett and Jemaine.

Anyone heard from TeeFury since ordering the shirts? Do their orders usually take a long time to process? No updates on mine....it still says "New" as the status.

So AMC has picked up Breaking Bad for a fifth season and it will also be the last. It will be 16 episodes and end the series.

Sort of happy about this because it is clear they don't want to stretch it out.

Sounds about right for this show. Not the type of story they can just keep going on with without some big consequences to the main characters. Its going to be exciting to see what happens though.

This season just turned on a dime in the last two episodes. Slower start and now things have really picked up. I'm loving it.

You just knew Walt would say something. Granted he was blitzed, but you just knew his arrogance would take over and he wouldn't want someone else getting credit for his work, even if it would save his own behind.

I loved the way it ended, with Hank questioning the fast food receipt (or whatever it was) with the chicken logo on it.

Am I the only one that doesn't really find the replacement guy all that intimidating? I know we haven't seen much of him, but I found the other guy more menacing than his replacement.

I really enjoy the Mike character. He was a good edition.

Breaking Bad is really good at those music montage scenes. I loved the two of them.

Episode would have been perfect if we had seen a little Saul. Otherwise though, awesome.

Interesting take. Maybe he plans to sell out Gus and take up Saul on the relocation scheme. Although, it seems like the photo of the fast food bag was in the box of stuff that Hank's colleague dropped off. How would Walter know that Hank's interest would be piqued and he'd find the wrapper?

The exchange between Gus and Mike near the end of the episode seems to suggest that Gus was trying to make Jesse feel like a big man. Is this his way of pulling him back from the brink of self-destruction? Seems like the type of overly-complicated plot only a James Bond villain would have the hubris to put into action.

Interesting take but then Walt is an even bigger idiot than I thought. He has video footage of Walt making tankers full of meth.

Whether Walt opened up his mouth or not, eventually you would think they would have to keep looking for the actual cook because the product will continually be showing up on the streets.

I think it was just pride why Walt told him it wasn't Gale

He didn't like credit for his creation being given to Gale
