Be A GM/Dynasty has been shafted since its inception in my opinion...AI just doesn't seem to be able to handle trading or signing at all.
Nope, and those are the most important features in a Franchise mode. I honestly could not care less if my trade offers came in on a blackberry, if the trade offers are Backstrom for 4th+5th. And when you see players like Kane and Myers sit in free agency for their whole careers because they want 10 million a year for 10 years. And they also need to fix prospect development because practically once every 5 years you draft a guy who ends up higher than an 80

So what you're saying is: Everything about Be A GM is junk.
I agree.

ughh, i'm trying be a gm again now, and i have so many 85+ draft picks that i can't afford them, so trade them when they are rfa's in the offseason for a first round pick, which thereinby, begins the cycle all over again.

This and the fact that whoever is the next "up and comer" will always hit 99 in every stat always bugged me. Honestly, it's bearable if you make your own edits to the player's stats (so potential is manageable and not unrealistic), but eventually (4-5 years in is my average), you'll get a superstar with WAY better stats than Crosby will ever have...mine was named Jorgen Bjork...so...I'll settle for that given the name
Sounds like a step in the right direction. I hate seeing an amazing save, only to watch a cut scene of players on the bench at the next stoppage.
I'm a simple man of simple pleasures. Improved replays after the play and teammates that don't seem to purposefully stay offside are pretty much all I need to buy this year.
I really wish they'd improve Be a GM one of these years. The simulation aspect of sports games is probably my favorite. I really want to be able to hire and/or fire coaches. I'd like to see financing (they had a bit of this before they went to 2 digit numbers instead of 4... completely gone now).... suspensions.. etc...
Traded in my ps3 nhl 11 today. $17 at FutureShop, only worth $10 at EBGames/GameStop.
Also, here's a video featuring some HUT changes.
Multiple lineups, and some sort of download roster ability. Apparently, others can play your team even when you are offline. Strange, potentially cool!
...and a HUT/EASHL blog. Multiple position profiles! No more "oh, wait, I need to change my dude to defence!"
FYI... EB games is having a promotion that if you trade in 2 games that have a minimum trade in value of $8 they'll give you $50 towards the pre order. So they essentially give you $25 credit for each game towards the pre ordered title
