Lawrie 2-4 with an RBI and just hit the ball too hard on the Rasmus play. Good start for the kid.

What I'm meaning by Arencibia is expandable is because D'Arnaud is tearing up the minors. Another good 3-5 night in AA. He leads the AA team in AVG, OBP, Slugging, OPS AND homeruns. Arencibia is pretty much a homer or miss player and is a poor catcher defensively. Right now his trade value is essentially at it's highest and is a good center piece in exchange for an ace pitcher. Next year when he puts close to Lawrie-like numbers, people will tune into him and start hyping him up.

ya most scouts I have seen have D'Arnaud as the 2nd best catcher not in MLB (behind Mesoraco) and a better all around player than Arencibia

I like JP's personality, but he really needs to start hitting for average and work on his defense if he wants to stay with the Blue Jays long term. For a catcher, being good defensively is first priority and the offense is just extra gravy if they provide it. With D'Arnaud, you get a good catcher defensively and offensively, I'm not going to throw out Brian McCann's name because those are lofty expectations but I think he can be better than John Buck, who played with the Jays last year.

Jose too. He's looked horrible on quite a few hittable fastballs.

That was pretty pitiful Toronto...only 1 run from bases loaded with no out!

Not good.

Damn.....and there goes Morrow's no-hit/perfect game bid.

His Bat certainly doesn't look out of place Although, the Orioles make everyone look a bit better. Go Jays!

Maybe his hitting. His defence was an absolute joke.

The first night he looked a bit lost, but I thought he looked fine the last two games.

Maybe his hitting, his hustle, his patience at the plate, his power, the fact that the kid is only 21 years old and besides his first game on Friday, his defense was just fine this weekend.

Yep I agree

Especially the 3rd game he made lots of plays.... Thought his defense was really solid.
