Hunter Pence to the Phillies for Singleton, Cosart and 2 to be named later. Phillies are going to be tough to beat

Wow...Pence is a great pickup for them, just what they needed.

Massive overpayment for pence. The two headed the other way were two of the phillies very best prospects. That makes the Rasmus trade look even more ridiculous.

Singleton is Philadephia's #2 prospect after Dominic Brown, Cosart is their #6 best prospect - Philly fleeced Houston IMO

I saw two games in San Diego this week. This is the second ballpark I've been to, the first being Safeco. Cool park, although I think Safeco is nicer. The seats out in the grassy area in right field are 5 bucks I think, and when there isn't a game, it's a public park. It's too bad the Padres are awful and I saw them lose twice, but it was fun being at the games.

You could say the same thing about the Mariners.

At least there though I was watching the Yankees. This time I had to settle for ex Yankees like Xavier Nady.

Giants get Orlando Cabrera from Cleveland for a minor leaguer.

Giants really want to repeat.

Pittsburgh has acquired Derek Lee and cash in the deal to help pay the remainder of Lee's $7.25 million salary from Baltimore for Aaron Baker and a player to be named later.

The Redsox deal for Harden has been called off, can't find a reason yet.

Braves get Bourn and cash from Astros for RH Juan Abreu, RH Paul Clemens and LH Brett Oberholtze and OF Jordan Schafer. Great deal for the Braves, they didn't give up a top prospect for Bourn.

Apparently the Sox backed out after having a 2nd look at Harden's medical reports, they were concerned about his health moving forward.

Could be a busy day for the A's. Lots of teams looking for relievers, Willingham and or Crisp could also be on the move.
