The Miami Dolphins are out of the Kyle Orton trade talks for now after they reached a two-year, $5 million deal with Carolina Panthers quarterback Matt Moore, a source confirmed.
Moore's deal, first reported in The Oregonian, puts all Orton talks on hold. Moore will compete with Chad Henne and rookie Pat Devlin for playing time.
The Dolphins had been talking to the Broncos but never reached a trade agreement that satisfied Broncos president John Elway.
Orton's $1.5 million roster bonus activated at 4 p.m. ET, a source told ESPN's Andrew Brandt. Though trade talks aren't done, that payout makes it less likely that the Broncos will trade the quarterback.
Good luck with a Henne/Moore combo fish fans....yikes.

Newton signs 4yrs/$22M fully guaranteed.

Compare to Sam Bradford last year: 6yrs/$78M (max $88M) with $50M guaranteed.

I like the new CBA.

Three ProBowl corners? Makes no sense unless another trade is on the way? Perhaps one of them moves over to safety?

I absolutely love the pickup but I am a little confused none the less.

Nice move by Philly, now I imagine Samuel gets moved to take care of Jackson's holdout.

^ The Eagles also have Desean Jackson holding out too, I wonder how this will affect him. Nnamdi cleary is interested in winning, not just breaking the bank... I assume that he just Cliff Lee'd the Cowboys.

So the Eagles now have Asomugha, Rodgers-Cromartie, and Samuel? Crazy!

Samuel has to be on the move....wonder how much jackson is going to ask for now...thats a lot of money they just gave up to a guy that they really didnt need but is a huge addition nonetheless.

Sure it does. Eagles love playing nickle and the NFL is moving more and more to a passing league. That secondary is going to be nearly impossible to throw against.

Highly doubt Samuel gets moved. The guy is an INT machine. Eagles were close to $13M under the cap before free agency started. They'll be fine.

I'm not happy with that combo at all, but I'm holding onto the hope that the defense will be elite again this year, and the addition of Bush will allow Henne to check down more often. The problem is he doesn't know how to do that, it's one read and then hope for the best with him.

Congrats rubecube and to the Eagles. That is one heck of a pickup. Eagles looking good next year. Jackson needs to attend camp and not be so stubborn. Philly could do some damage this year.
