As of now the hits are unbelievably unrealistic in that they are nuclear explosions every time you hit someone. Head's would be flying off, blood splurting every where. Guy would get crushed into the boards and the boards would be covered with gallons of blood.
I really hope they can take 5 minutes and add some sort of code into the game, especially HUT:
*When player A refuses to play player B after 5 attempts, those 2 players won't meet in a quick match for 10 minutes.*
So annoying having some idiot back out at the edit lines menu and you keep getting him time after time after time.
actually i['d prefer they match players up through team star ratings (not the overall since that seems a bit messed up) and you aren't allowed to back out at all.
my team is pretty crappy off the top of my head....
DJ King-Berglund-Janssen
Afinogenov-Slater-Eager
Voros-Christensen-Shelley
Lundmark-Halpern-Orr
Valabik-Hainsey
Peckham-Strudwick
Aucoin-Lepisto
but my overall ratings are around 85 OFF, 86 DEF and i'm pretty much forced to play guys with the similar ratings but because they have 34d or 4th line scrubs or whatever they have guys like a 90+ Schenn, Iggy, Hedman, Myers, etc.
- Something called "anticipation AI". Apparently now there's less of the waiting until you get the puck and more active defending...sounds easy to screw up...but...
- The AI will react to offsides and attempt to avoid them
Still no word on the rest of the passive AI.

Hopefully in addition to that offside AI they also change that when a guy is offside and trying to get back onside, he skates in a diagonal line out of the zone instead of just straight and getting out of the zone.

How about for Be A Pro when the forwards NEVER BLOODY TAKE THE PUCK IN. We'll be on a 3 on 2 rush, the CPU with the puck, and he'll just cut and stay in the neutral zone for about 6 seconds then decide to flip the puck in.
It pisses me off to no end. It happens every game.
I sure hope that anticipation AI does not have every player turning up ice before the puck is retrieved. Will make it hard if you don't get the puck, and your team loses possession of the puck and half your team is up ice already.

More defensively minded players would hopefully be there to cover.
No real elaboration on whether the 'routes' and decision making of your AI teammates has been improved. It's so shameful right now that I would laugh if I wasn't crying.

Yeah. I'm hoping that the second "major annoucement" that they're constantly referring to is an overhaul of the AI puck management.
Just please make it so players acknowledge when the human contrlled center is coming up the wing and don't try to jam yourself into the same space as me.
