Also remember that these are the first few adds, most likely the ones closer to the end will have a tad more funding.

Funding is not the problem. The Conservatives have millions of dollars to spend. Were not talking about the Green Party here. The money is there, and likely spent, just poorly.
I don't view it as damned if you do/don't at all. Its damned if you do....make junk commercials. The NDP and Bloc have created very effective spots - it can be done. The Conservatives just suck at it. And in this election with a leader devoid of any personality - it could cost them.

Well.. It is branding.. you remember them right? that's what ads are for.
It's like the coke polar bear ads, same thing year after year, but what do people think about when they see polar bears now?

If you think she's cute, you should check her out in "Bewitched" with Nicole Kidman and Will Farrell. She gets more screen time.
Still annoying though.

OK, another month, another set of bad commericals.
Capital One credit cards. "Hands in my pocket" gets played, business suited man has of course, his hand in the pocket of various people doing various things. Creepy, good thing they elected not to have any little boys or girls in the commericals. That and it's a lame commercial.

I think the worst advertising campaign I ever saw was the one for those finger toothbrushes.
Bunch of young people dancing around moaning "Zip, slip, AAHHHHHH". Like brushing your teeth in a ****ing subway station is
a) cool
b) going to give you an orgasm
Seriously, slipping a tiny little ribbed condom on your finger and molesting your teeth in public is freaking disgusting. Brush your teeth before you leave for work, ok?
If you somehow manage to forget (everyone has), do like the rest of the world and hit a drugstore, buy the cheapest toothbrush you can find, buy a tiny little travel toothpaste and take it to the washroom.
And for god's sake, throw out the toothbrush afterward.

Oops forgot about those stupid Lilydale Chicken commercials with the Rick Mercer like French chef extolling the virtues of "LeeLeeDhale" chicken. He's got such a goofy grin and the commercial is so cheese I can't help but wonder if it was meant to be that way.
I watched about 6 hours of Mythbusters yesterday....that might have had something to do with it.

How about those toothpaste commercials where the guy brushes his teeth then is forced to scream "BAAAAAAM!!" out loud?
They used to be kinda funny at first, but the effect wore off fast. Plus that guy in it is just one of those people you wanna hit "just because".

I have so many I don't know where to begin, and you've touched off a nerve so get comfortable:
I flip channels every time that stupid Molson Canadian ad comes on where they copy "The Day After Tomorrow". The one where the guys dig up the 2-4 out of the snow bank.
The pimped out Coors truck annoys me to no end.
The Honda gift wrap commercial is made to be annoy but they outdid themselves on it.
The Telus Hippo got overplayed, I don't see it anymore thank god.
The stupid Old Navy "gifties" and really any Old Navy commercial.
The RBC one with the old dude who sets up the closet for the little girl so she can change. Maybe it's just growing tiresome on me cuz it's on every commercial set.
My wife cringes at the Tim Horton's coast to coast commercial. On the flipside, the Clint Eastwood lampoon with the Focaccia bread is one of their better efforts.
The online poker ads are growing old fast.
The only Lee Iacocca series commercial I like is the Snoop Dog one as the generation gap kills me. The "If the ride is fly, you must buy" line gets me.
The other ones which makes me laugh (don't ask me why) are the PSP ads with the dust balls. It must be the over the top hispanic voices. I just smile everytime I see them.

The dude is Emirel Lagasse, he's a sort of famous chef and his shtick is saying "BAM!" when he throws spices into whatever crap he's making. If you haven't seen his show on Food, watch it for 30 seconds and you'll see the most annoying, most overrated guy on TV. The audience treats him like a freakin rockstar.

New one straight in there in top five terrible/annoying adds, here's a quote.
Save tha Tuna, Save tha Tuna, Save tha Tuna.
Just no sense, old guy in a suede coat acting like a town cryer in front of a Mr. Sub store getting his lines wrong ugh, so horrible. If the subs are anything like this add, stay well clear.

Lets turn to radio ads for a minute.
Anyone else as annoyed as me at the lame Silverhill Acura ads that are being overplayed on FAN960?
Its a brutal ad trying to push the Acura CSX. A bunch of dorks in a group bragging about how cool the car is.
Ultra lame.

That is annoying.
As for other radio ads, I'm not sure who is more annoying, that Jonathon Carol guy for itravel or that effeminate tightass from the Spence Diamonds commercials who 'tellth uth how to propothe to our girlfriendth'.

The latest Tim Horton's one: the lady is moaning and groaning over her fruit yogurt thing. Then it shows that she's working in a furniture store and she's on her coffee break, rather than being at home and relaxing.

That one at least has humor to start with I think. I mean she's desperate to eat yogurt and pleading. But still wares you down after a while, where as the Tuna one or others mentioned have nothing from the outset!

The second I saw this thread again this is the exact ad I thought of. I hate it. Commericals should have a volume limit ot them. NO SHOUTING ABOUT TUNA FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!
And that Philly Cheese Steak Pizza make me wanna vomit. Some big fat slob who wakes up and goes to bed thinking about pizza is supposed to make me want to order from there? Forget it.
