They've put something on him to make his skin not look so pale already. If you notice around his neck the makeup ends and his skin isn't a normal shade at all. You can really see it clearly on the preview still for the interview here:

I sent Jack an e-mail wishing him the best. He is a (fraternity) brother of mine. Never supported him politically but it is hard to say bad things about his character.

Can you pm me the address, I'm too lazy to look it up, but I think he needs as many best wishes as possible.

He looks horrible. I'll be extremely surprised if he makes a return in the fall.

I'm assuming he's receiving chemo, I know that just before my second Aunt died of cancer a couple of months ago that her skin was like parchment and was almost translucent.
She said that the only thing that was worse then the cancer was that she would have to go through chemo.

His voice is what scared me the most. What a change. But I guess that's what cancer/cancer treatments do to you. Just awful. I really hope for the best for him.

Don't support his ideas, but I cannot take away the fact that the guy is a rockstar of a politician. To do what he did, on an NDP platform in the last election, was nothing short of a miracle. I laughed at some of the ideas, but his delivery was awesome. He was the only guy in the race with any charisma whatsoever. He is the type of guy I respect like Selanne or Sakic...an adversary, you have the utmost respect for.
All the best to him in a full recovery.

Someone asked me about him today, and I said the thing that made me like him when when he hammered the crap out of Ignatieff over his attendance.
"If you want to be Prime Minister, maybe you should show up for work once in a while"

I wish nothing but the best for Jack, and hope that he has a full recovery. For his own good I hope he doesn't return to lead in September. Well actually I hope he attends for a day to get a full ovation from the other members and then resigns fully after that to concentrate on his health.
Oh, and I hope it's not too soon......but maybe he should go for a massage?

Many reporters during the election campaign thought that Jack didn't need the cane anymore and was faking it to get the sympathy vote. I wonder what they're thinking now?
