From what I've read, rookie salaries will be lower in this proposed deal, and there will be a cap on rookie spending.

Ya I saw that, I just meant I wonder what "lower" and "rookie spending cap" actually means. Like are we talking no rookie can make more than $2M/yr, or does it just mean #1 over-all's signing a 6yr, $60M contract instead of the usual 6yr, $78M.
Since career's are shorter (and players 21-22 instead of 17) in NFL as opposed to NHL, I think rookies should be able to sign for more than what NHL rookies make in the top 5. But I just think a rookie signing anything more than $2-3M/yr is absolutely outrageous. I just really hope they've fixed this, and not just scaled it back a tad to only slightly less outrageous.

Detais of the Perish Cox sexual assault case printed in the Denver Post. Ugly stuff. He could be going away for a while. Very disappointed to see Deamaryius Thomas' name in this. This is a kid who was drafted over Dez Bryant because his character demanded it.

The NFL Players Association has scheduled a Monday conference call to brief agents on the rules of the new collective bargaining agreement.
According to another source, 10 teams would open camp Wednesday, another 10 Thursday, another 10 Friday, and the remaining two on Sunday.

No, I saw that but it just seems like the typical verbiage we get every year from the Favre camp. I doubt he comes back, but I also thought we'd be spared from the rumours this year.

Except in years apst Favre has never been commital on being retired, and we've seen that from him this year. It's BS to go after Favre over this, a rumor comes out, his agent says it has no substance, and somehow that's Favre's fault?

Well that's not entirely true. He did officially retire from the Packers and then come back.

Yeah, and he spent that entire off season hinting at not being done.
