How much longer is the "science experiment" going to last with Reyes? The dude is horrible, and seems to throw some of the easiest pitches to hit.

Jesus Christ this guy is horrible. He seems to give up at least one run per inning.

He's not a major-league pitcher. It's as simple as that.

It's not as though the Jays don't have options....it's way past time to cut ties.

Reyes is by far the weakest link on this team...

It's not just working for him.

Seems like an all-or-nothing thing for Arencibia right now. Either Home Run or Strikeout and not much else in between. Ah well.

This game was the final straw for me. I've now had enough of Reyes.

And no, Mr Wilner, I don't even want him in the bullpen.

Reyes is doing what is needed though.

Who is coming in and replacing him?

Cecil has pitched worse, Litsch is equally as bad and Drabek has shown he has issues.

Reyes fills the need for the Jays as being that guy that gets smacked around it doesn't matter because he has 0 potential to turn into anything.

I think for this year it is better to have Reyes get smacked than young like Stewart, Drabek and Cecil because he loses nothing where they risk losing those young guys if they do the same thing.

Agreed.

The Blue Jays are not making the playoffs this year anyway.

Let Reyes continue pitching and let the younger guys develop. Let one of them replace his spot next year.

I totally disagree. None of those guys have gone 28 starts without a win. Litsch has had injury issues, but he is nowhere near as bad as Reyes. Litsch gets movement on his
stuff where Reyes thinks a good pitch is a flat 88 fastball up in the zone.

Jo-Jo has proven time and time again that he is not good enough to pitch in the majors, and it's time to get rid of him. I don't think that Stewart should be brought up or anything, but I don't see why Litsch and Drabek need to be protected. If they get hit, so be it. At least they have a future with the team.

Drabek can't pitch in the Majors atm, he has major anger-management issues, he'll jeopardize his future by be pushed now, has a lot of maturing to do.

They'd be happy to have Litsch pitch over Jo-Jo, consistency of his own and injuries have prevented that from happening.

As for Cecil, everyone including me, believes he still has partial dead-arm. Risky to release JoJo and think Cecil will be able to pitch every 5 days. Love or hate him, he's here til september call-ups or the end of the season.
