You don't know how bad the coffee there is until you try to drink it black. Tastes chemically.

For iced caps, brew your coffee at home and make ice cubes with it. Then get some vanilla and sweetened condensed milk. (all to your taste) Blend and serve. Better than any store bought crap and you control the ingredients.

I have a container in the freezer downstairs with coffee cubes in it. Good enough amount for 4 LARGE Ice caps.
Alternatively, if you brew your own coffee and throw it in the freezer and drink it just before it freezes and pour it over ice cubes, you've got yourself an ice coffee. None of that syrup in milk stuff you get at Tims and a hell of a lot cheaper. I've even put a double double in the freezer, and it's much better than their ice coffee.

I know its kind of cheating, but the Nescafe Ice syrup + milk, + ice + magic bullet makes a good version of an Iced Cap.

Also the Hamilton Beach coffee makers with the built-in carafe are good if you want iced coffee - brew an extra amount of coffee in the morning, go to work, and when you get home throw in some ice, dispense, toss in a shot of some Torino syrup and voila.

I doubt that
and if it is that is incredible, because mcd coffee tastes better than timmies. it must be how they brew it. if I have a choice between mcd and timmy coffee i always choose mcdonalds.
and if it is the same, the prices are similar while mcd gives you a bigger cup and you can get a muffin for 2 cents with it.
and yea I will have to try the iced coffee idea, sounds good. of course you can get an iced coffee at mcd for $1 and that is easier than brewing coffee then freezing it

Greek-style Frappes blow iced-caps out of the water and are super easy/cheap to make.

Where did you get this information from? You either haven't tried it or you're trying to be funny which I totally missed.

The new buns for the sandwiches are much worse then the old ones.

The new Fruit Smoothies taste (and feel) like a koolaid slurpee, not like a fruit smoothie.

I'm not a coffee drinker, so I can't comment on their coffee.

Not really a fan of Tim Hortons, but we do pick up some timbits every once in a while.

MCD's uses an arabica bean, much more flavourful and expensive of a bean.

I thought McDonald's had their coffee supplied by Seattle's Best or something like that?

Anyway, I agree... it is much better than Tim Horton's especially if you drink it black.

80% of the world's coffee production is arabica beans. I'm not even sure any robusta beans are sold in the North American market.

It's not their brewer, if you brew their beans at home, it tastes the same way. It's the heavy-burn roasting on the beans that creates that ashtray flavour that I love so much. They also put themselves at a disadvantage by letting people dress their own coffee. Nobody ever knowingly puts as much full-fat cream into their coffee as Tim's puts into a double-double.
