Drives me nuts as I walk across the street from work to get one every day and always end up with coffee running down my hand and sleeve.

I had a lid the other day, and it looked like it was on correctly. Little did I know, that it wasn't. I'm not sure how, but it wasn't. Everytime I picked up the coffee, and it didn't matter than manner that I picked it up in, it spewed that creamy coloured hot beverage all over my white shirt. I was puzzled and certainly pissed off. This happend over and over, despite holding it with the gentle touch of a surgeon and it still vomitted its' warm innards all over my hands and pants. It's probably a conspiracy that involves the customer wasting so much coffee that they need to buy a new one.

It's mind boggling that a company as large as Wendy's wouldn't correct these lids. They don't seal properly with the cups and never have for decades.

I have gotten lids in Revelstoke that were different than the lids here. They didn't seem to spill as often and the mouth-hole tab actually fit in place every time without a monumental struggle.

i love mcdonald's coffee lids the best. pure genius.
I do find that mcdonald's coffees are sweeter (if you like sugar in it) than tim's.
but overall it's a better coffee.

The only good thing at Tim's is the iced capps.

Tim Hortons (no apostrophe) has been going downhill ever since the "always fresh" lie started. If they want to save money and warm up frozen doughnuts that's fine, but at least cover up the always fresh sign. It's embarrassing.
And for god's sake put the bloody apostrophe back.

Haha... I'm starting to think reading CP is bad for my psyche. Everything is terrible. Rob Kerr sucks. Tim Hortons sucks. This and that grinds my gears. It's getting too predictable.
Tim Hortons isn't the greatest gourmet coffee in the world, but it's set up to be a break in your daily routine. At least it was in mine when I worked downtown.
Next month when the new Tim Hortons opens in Abu Dhabi, I'll be the first in line to explain to the Filipino behind the counter what a double-double is.

Crusader indeed! Fight for your rights, man.
Or we could find a coffee we do like and make a thread about that! I'm so anti-establishment...

I'm really surprised that no one has picked up on this. Where are all the 'hookers and blow' posters when you need them?

I prefer the coffee from McDicks. Their cups are far superior as well.
I did have a friend of mine who was extolling the virtues of tucking the flap of a timmies lid into the cup, instead of trying to stick it down on that freaking tab that never works only to have hot coffee hatefully flung into your unsuspecting eye.
Holy run-on sentence Batman.

TH has not changed the lids as their research has shown them that the customer will also think that the coffee has changed too.

Whether you're a fan or not, you simply cannot argue that the "Quality" is anywhere near 10 years ago (Even 5).
What really annoys me to no end is that "Baked and frozen until we decide to thaw it out on the store shelves" can still mean fresh. That's like Campbells saying that their soups are fresh (right outta the can).
And of course.....the cult. The apologists and the ultra-loyalists get pretty ridiculous, and boy do they like to litter. The bushes, trees and parking lots in my neighborhood look like they've been sponsored by Tim Hortons. I rarely see litter from other establishments in the are, but Tim Hortons cups, wrappers, bags (etc) are all over the place.

Ya I noticed that about the Revy Tims as well as the one in Sicamous. Strange it's just those franchises.

Historically, I've been a big Iced Capp guy. But over the past year or two I've found the quality in that product to plummet. Stupidly, I continue to purchase Ice Capps realizing how touch-and-go they are. Off the top of my head, I'd say -- in every ten ice capps purchased, three are very good, two are so-so, and five are barely drinkable.
Again, I'm the fool who keeps gambling on those crappy odds.
