Hmmm...I wonder if her parents are suing the "record company" for ownership of the song since they bought and paid for its production. I believe it was originally posted by the company, so it doesn't make sense that there would be a copyright claim against it.

YouTube doesn't really investigate copyright claims. They get a DMCA takedown request, they take the video down. It is up to the person who uploaded it to challenge the takedown. In this case, if her deal with the production company says they own the video, expect it to go right back online. Unfortunately.
I'm not much of a fan of pop music, I personally think its souless crap. But the one thing about Katey Perry is she doesn't take it seriously, and she seems to be fun.
Plus she actually managed to make braces look good.

That Katy Perry music video might be worse than Rebecca Black's.
If you listen to it without looking at either video, you could definitely picture them playing back-to-back on the radio and not being able to differentiate the professional from the amateur. God, those vocal modifiers are so terrible.

I don't know dude, if I'm taking the time to watch a Katey Perry video where she's wearing a really short tight mini skirt, the last thing on my mind is vocal modifiers

Exp:
Apparently the bullying has gotten so bad for this young lady, she had to be pulled from school...she's 14 freaking years old people!
Quote:
Black's mother has decided to home school the 14-year-old from now on, a new decision which also allows more time to focus on her daughter's career. But the teen seems zen about her alarming circumstances. The online anti-Rebecca comments became so violent at one point the FBI became involved when Black started receiving death threats. But now that the bullying has branched off the internet and into her real life, Black has been forced to act.
