There's no way that is real. It's comprised almost entirely of old footage and it is just way too lame to be the actual teaser.
It's a teaser. It's supposed to...get this....TEASE the viewer.
I was totally happy with what they showed and wasn't expecting much more. A quick glimpse of Bane is all I needed and I got that. Christ, they still haven't finished filming yet, we're still a year away.

I just saw Harry Potter, and yes that is the real trailer.
The less they show the better imo. Too many movies are spoiled due to showing too much in the trailers. Once again Nolan proves his worth by showing as little as possible in his trailers.
God I love the guy.
Seriously? That trailer was awful. I'm sure the movie will be great, but that blew. And get real, Nolan does not make the trailers, so I'm not sure why you are giving him any props for that piece of crap in the first place. You want to see an example of what a good teaser trailer is? Here you go:

Thanks, I get that it was a teaser. If you enjoyed it, then great, but let's be honest, you probably would have been happy if all the trailer showed was Bane sitting on the toilet taking a dump (you do like the Transformers movies, after all, which isn't much different). There are good teasers and this just wasn't one of them. If most of you guys weren't already convinced that this will be a great movie then you would see what I am talking about.
I don't think you guys understand what a teaser is.
The definition: "Movie teasers, unlike typical theatrical trailers, are usually very short in length (between 30–60 seconds) and usually contain little, if any, actual footage from the film."
Both the 300 and Girl with a Dragon Tattoo have cool TRAILERS, but they are not teasers.
It's the same with video games, like this is a teaser:

Warner Bros. has already gone on record saying that as soon as Dark Knight Rises is done, they will be re-booting the series.
So expect a new Batman in 2015 or 2016.
I kind of hope they don't start from scratch again. We have seen the Batman origin redone too many times already. The Nolan Batman films are going to put Batman in such high grounds that any successors are likely doomed to fail.
I wonder if the plan is to re-introduce Batman/Bruce Wayne through the Justice League movie then start up the next series of Batman movies a year or two after.
I also wonder if they will ever use the Joker character again? I kind of hope so, as Joker might be the enigmatic villain ever created; but obviously what happened with Ledger (and his performance) will make it extremely hard to re-establish him into the universe. That and I think Nolan will not allow that to happen under his control.
This is my fav trailer of all time. Mainly because of the music and how well it fit. But I remember seeing Dark Knight on the IMAX and this was the preview, went back a week later just so I was guaranteed to see this preview again.

That's what sucks about them re-booting it. Nothing will ever reach the awesomness that is Nolan's films. Batman Begins is the best origin story and no matter what they do, they can't top it.
I think the next era of Batman films will be a mix between realistic and comic booky, sort of like the Batman video games which are awesome.
If they want to avoid doing another origin movie (which they should in my opinion), they need to start it off like Arkham Asylum, and throw the audience right in the middle, like what The Dark Knight did.
I read that Nolan will stay on to produce the next one.
Sounds like DC is going to go down a similar path that Marvel is doing with their movies. Create a shared universe and build towards a Justice League film down the road with Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, etc...
It will be interesting to see what they do with the new Superman movie (which Nolan is producing and has played a large part in shaping it seems)

Not really, DC has no say in the way the movies are portrayed, it is all WB (pretty sure anyway).
And the Justice League movie is supposed to be coming out in 2014 already, without any other real groundwork being laid. GL was a bad film, the Batman they will be using won't be Nolan's Batman so it'll be totally new.
The only real tie-in they will have is Superman.
Marvel is doing it right, having Thor, Iron Man, Cap. America, etc all coming out, and then having it being written and directed by Joss Weadon.
Technically the Batman origin story has only been done on film once, in Batman Begins. The first Batman movie touched on it, but it wasn't really an active part of the movie, and we didn't really see how he became Batman.
That said, Begins did such a terrific job that I don't think it ever needs to be re-told. You just can't top that version of his origin.
I really liked the previous Nolan Batman films, but for #### sake. . . stop with reboots. How about Hollywood come up with something novel for once?
I'm so sick of all these super hero movies that I never bother to see any of them aside from Batman.
The moment superhero movies and sequels stop bringing in millions on top of millions of dollars, Hollywood producers will be forced to be more creative.
The money in summer blockbusters is amazing.
Worldwide, Transformers 3 has made $711 million. Just think about how ridiculous that is. Insane amount of money.
If you're in the movie making business, and you want to make a profit, why would you stop re-booting or doing sequels??
Not saying it's right, just saying that's why they do it.
