This is only to vaguely add to the hype and excitement for this film,

I remember reading an article that I can't seem to find that had quotes from a guy who wasn't necessarily connected to the movie so he didn't have any vested interest in making such a statement...

but

He basically said that he had seen the script and he himself couldn't possibly imagine how they would top TDK, but based on the script and story that he saw, they are going to blow TDK out of the water....

I wish I could find the article....looking.

Batman sucks, he doesn't even have any powers. Please for the love of god kill him off and stop making movies about a crappy superhero.

I'm not a Batman fan at all. Even the movies that most like, the Tim Burton Batman and Batman Returns, are not films I'm a big fan of. I know the general stories, but even when I was a comic fan, Batman books weren't something I picked up.

But... Chistopher Nolan is a great director, and Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight are just simply fantastic movies. I'm really excited for this.

I personally prefer super heroes whose nemeses are certain types of ore or the colour yellow. Makes for some compelling stories.

I agree that some of the acting performances by actors playing side characters has been great but I still think Batman is a lame character. Not as lame as Green Lantern but lame. I can't believe they made a movie about a character that even his name is beyond bad.

I don't disagree with that generally, but the Nolan era movies have been good movies, not just good performances by supporting characters. Interesting twists, solid acting all around, compelling storylines, amazing visuals..and Nolan is one of the best directors working today. A true visionary of film.

Dark Knight Rises will no doubt be a 10/10 movie for me.

In my opinion this is the best trilogy ever made. For comparisons sake, Indiana Jones had The Temple of Doom which really isn't that great, The Godfather had part 3.

Batman Begins is a near flawless movie, TDK is the best comic book movie ever. The Dark Knight Rises will be amazing, I have no doubt.

Not that I disagree with you, most movie trilogies have one clunker. Spiderman had the third, and Temple of Doom is trash... but... relax.

The movie is still a year away from coming out, and you're giving it a ten out of ten, and calling it one of the best trilogies ever made.

That's funny because Batman Begins is better than the Dark Knight.

And the Temple of Doom was amazing.

Based on Christopher Nolan's flawless movie past and the past 2 Batman movies, this movie will no doubt be a 10/10.

If this movie isn't the best (could be) of the trilogy, it will still be as good as the previous two, of which are amazing films.

This is the best trilogy ever, I don't need to see the movie to know that. 2012 will only solidify this.

And Temple of Doom is not amazing nik.

I want to slap you for being over the top Justin, but hug you for being smart about Temple of Doom.

Conflicted.

I wouldn't call Temple of Doom "amazing", but I'd call it underrated to a certain extent. I used to loathe the movie since it was the black sheep of the trilogy. But on closer look it isn't that bad. Sure it's a bit too "Spielbergish" with helping out the people in the village, and Capshaw is still annoying as all hell, but Ford is still as great as ever. Even Short Round is passable when compared to a lot of the annoying sidekick characters today. Raiders of the Lost Ark is the best adventure/action movie ever made (top 5 movie of all time imo). Crusade is obviously very similar to Raiders, perhaps a bit too similar. But Ford+Connery+Nazi's=Winner in my books. The less to be said about Skulls the better. Most people say the first 30-45 mins is good, then it falls apart, but I can't go that far.

And Origins was the perfect origin story. It seems many superhero movies have a tough time pulling off origin stories or first in the series (see Green Lantern or Superman Returns for examples). But Nolan hit it out of the park. He was able to create quite a few three dimensional characters, and both dynamic villains and hero's like I had never seen before.

Temple of Doom may not be the best. But I'll take Kate Capshaw screaming over everything that crawls over shia labeouf any day.

My head exploded like in Scanners when I read that. How is Batman a crappy hero? The fact that he doesn't have powers and yet beats superhumans is a pretty good indication that he kicks ass. He is far from the worst superhero, and the Nolan adaptation is excellent.

Because it is ridiculous. It is like Spiderman beating the guys he does. He shoots web, Green Goblin flys and throws pumpkin bombs! Even more ridiculous is when Spiderman beats Electro. I shoot web...I shoot bolts of freakin electricity, you're dead! I like quite a few Marvel characters but with the exception of Superman all DC comic characters are pretty freakin lame!
