Hmmm, well they had pics of Catwoman and Bane, unless those were just movies I didn't recognise. Yet still they had that pic of all three of them on the news channel.
Anyway, won't argue with you. I don't follow these things close enough. Don't take in many summer blockbusters, and even less fanboy type movies. And I don't follow all the pre-production news of movies before they come out for the most part. Just view some trailers.
EDIT: But I'm obviously not the only one it fooled. It got posted, and responded to at least once. The Se7en clip started tipping me off though right at the first viewing.
I have a feeling there will be a lot of holes left open at the end of this movie to allow Warner Bros to decide what direction they want to go with the next movie.
The crumbling walls of Gotham, the "he will be broken" in the trailer all lead me to believe that this movie will end with Gotham being overrun by the "criminals" and "crazies" while Batman lies in a bed due to having his back broken by Bane.
It's an ending that would be predictable for Batman fans but one that would be unexpected and shocking for the casual fan who just watches the Batman movies.
It seems like a direction that Nolan would be willing to take just because you never see the Superhero defeated in Superhero movies and Nolan likes to be different.

Nope. Christopher Nolan said his ending will bring everything together and will close any and all ends. Any subsequent Batman will be yet another reboot with a different interpretation.

Without reading it, I'm hoping Batman goes out with a bang, and Nolan does a 60's-esque fight scene with the KABLAMO! and OUCH!! screen effects, then ends the entire sequence with once huge dance party involving Batman, Catwoman, Bane, all the beaten-up thugs and Go-Go Dancers that appear out of nowhere.
All the trailers shared at this point are fan-made fakes. However, there is an official trailer set to release before the new Harry Potter movie which is out this weekend.
Government of Alberta's site. Line 2 shows the PG rated trailer.
Location: In my office, at the Ministry of Awesome!

Batman was from the frist movie (maybe second), Bayne was actually frankestien from "Death Race" (horrible movie), those are both understandable, but seriously, Catwoman was a freaking pencil drawing.

Pretty well done fake. Anyone recognize where the footage of fake bane is from? Looks like Resident Evil or something like that.
I'm not sure where the footage is from when he's laying on the bed sketching out, but the behind view is from Bronson I believe. I've only seen it once so I can't be certain. Hardy can bulk up. He's also in that MMA movie coming out.
I'm confused on how this is a trilogy. Maybe I shouldn't look at the Matrix and Star Wars as my definition.
Is a trilogy just 3 films with the same name...or is it 3 films where the first one is the beginning of the story, the 2nd one is the middle of the story and the 3rd is the end of the story?

Wiki says:
Quote:
A trilogy is a set of three works of art that are connected, and that can be seen either as a single work or as three individual works.
Also:
Quote:
One of the most popular "trilogies" of fantasy books, The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien, is not a trilogy, though it is often referred to as such. Tolkien regarded it as a single work and divided it into a prologue, six books, and five appendices.
So assuming it's Dark Knight Rises is as good or better than Returns, where will the series rank in the echelons of movie trilogies? Easily in the top 3-4 probably (Godfather, original Star Wars, Indiana Jones, LotR). And yes, I am disregarding the forth Indiana Jones movie; I will never even recognize its existence.
That is Tom Hardy in Bronson, one of the reasons why I was sold on his casting as the massive Bane. Tom Hardy is such a good underrated actor and depending on what happens with Bane he could be a star from this movie.
