Integrity >>> Money

He can feel good about himself, meet Jeter, get club seats and know deep inside he did the right thing instead of turning it into a gong show.

Ya and next year when he's paying for tickets again he'll be wishing he would have made at least something off it.
That was like hitting the lotto and then throwing away the ticket.

Maybe it's just because I'm a broke student working a s**t job, but i would have cashed in. Sell the thing back to Jeter or ask the Yankees to buy it

It has nothing to do with integrity. He caught the ball and it is his.

But he feels good about it. What if you caught Jarmoe's 500th goal next season (I know that's impossible). Wouldn't you want to return the puck to him so he can flash his big smile and give you a hug instead of selling it off to some schmo and not giving Iggy his moment?

Yeah, he can have his moment after I am compensated for returning the puck.

I'm sure that dude felt good for all of twenty minutes until he realized that he lost a huge opportunity for himself.

I wouldn't take money from Jarmoe. I love him. Hug is good enough

I would make sure Jeter got the ball back but like Machiavelli says, i would have cashed in first.

In Honor of Number 3000, Jeter's greatest hits.

and this is the reason I will always pick Jeter as the one person I could be if I could be anyone in the world.

I'd still want to be Hugh Heffner myself.

But one thing about the really great players, seems like a lot of them know that milestone is within reach and find a way to have a big game to get to it. Jeter hasn't been great for about a year now, but he's undoubtably a first ballot HOF, and today he was great in getting to this milestone. My fantasy Baseball team wants to see more days like this from Jeter.

They were talking on MLB radio yesterday, that the ball's value would be an estimated $400-500 k. Pretty decent chunk of change to hand back to the man that hit it. Good on him though, I wouldn't have, but whatever floats your boat I suppose.

Luxury box seats for the rest of the year at Yankee Stadium. The price is what? $10000 a game? and you can invite all your friends? That's much more fun!

That's like 500K right there

And get to rub shoulders with rich people, could get some contacts for the future. Alot of good can come from not selling the ball.

WOW - what a show by Robbie Cano to win the Home Run derby. I have been fortunate enough to see Cano take BP several times and he always puts on a show, but I never thought he could beat the big boys like Fielder, Ortiz, Gonzalez

That was the best HR Derby since HR Derbys. 11 home runs in the final round and lost by a mile.

I've heard that when Cano gets in a groove in BP he really knocks them. Edgar Martinez was the same way, he'd belt out 8 in a row when he found his groove. Those weren't cheapies either, he was launching them.

So, the NL will once again have home field advantage in the World Series.
