Meddling_lousy_owner_censors_player

So for those of us former Expo fans who love Jeffrey Loria for taking a bad team and figuring out how to run them even further into the ground...we get his continued meddling with the Marlins. Hopefully he sours enough on Morrison to trade him to a team like the Phillies and help them win a couple World Series in the coming years.

For all podcast fans the "Getting Blanked" blog from The Score now has their webstreams available on Itunes... Like all other podcasts from The Score its light-hearted and has some pretty humourous discussion. Its mainly Jays talk but they also explore other aspects of the Majors.

Troutman, I know you're a big pocast fan. Do you listen to baseball specific ones?

Sitting dead last in my FBL right now, so now just kind of having fun with it. Although I had Lind, Mauer and Ike Davis on my team who all missed significant time. Mauer finally makes his return today and Lind has been on fire since coming off the DL. I will try and pluck as many of the prospects who get called up off the FA list. One guy that has worked out pretty well for me has been Charlie Blackmon. He has been lights out the past few games. He is 4 for 4 so far today and 11 for his last 16.

I can watch baseball, but I don't think I could listen to people talk about baseball.

Pujols out 4-6 weeks with fractured wrist - he was involved in a very nasty looking collision at first yesterday. Wrist injuries are tricky for hitters - may have serious implications on his upcoming Free Agency

On the topic of closers:

How much more often teams close out ninth-inning leads than they did 10 years ago, 25 years ago, 50 years ago?

No change.

Ortiz-Gregg fight.

http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index..._home&c_id=bos (then click on video and choose Benches Clear)

Was there history between Ortiz and Gregg as a Blue Jay last year or were the O's just frustrated. 3 inside fastballs.

What a heavyweight tilt that would have been...6'6 230 Gregg vs. 6'4 230 Ortiz

Fan gave the ball back and asked for nothing in return!! The Yankees have set him up with 4 suite tickets for the rest of the year, front row tickets tomorrow and gets to meet Jeter after the game. He did all right for himsel. It was pretty cool he got the ball and his old man jumped on his back to protect him - classic Bronx

wow. That ball made him an instant millionaire and he just gave it back?
Honorable for sure to give it back to Jeter but that could have been his meal ticket for life. I can't even imagine what someone would have paid for that if he auctioned it off.
