Default Blues acquire Sturm
The Blues and Caps hooked up in a deal:

To Blues

Marco Sturm
$3mm this year
$3.25mm in 2012

To Caps

Mark Fraser

I needed some spare Cheese room this year so I know have nearly $4mm of Cheese space which is better than $900K. Sturm also is only $3mm to absorb this year and maybe he can have a solid year in Vancouver. Hopefully not.

Caps were in Cap hell. We needed to move out sturm to help get under Cap.

Rumor has it that BJ could have been out of cap hell as well AND dumped that Johnsson contract on some sucker....

I actually don't think that contract is that bad. $6M for a 65Ov player for one year is far from the worst deal in the league right now.
