As per our rules

GMs will be given 48 hours after off-season re-rates to get any player re-rated to 64 or above on their CPHL team. If you miss this window by even 1 minute your player will be subject to CPHL re-entry waivers

I'm going to extend this to Friday 11:59 PM. You have until that time to recall any player who was re-rated to 64 or above who is now on your AHL club.

Teams who have notified us that they are away will be allowed to deal with this when they return.

Quick Question, if we sign an echler who is listed as 64ov or above after Friday are we allowed to sign them straight through to the CPHL without having to clear waivers?

Yup - since the ECHL deadline isn't set yet this only applies to AHLers. The ECHL deadline won't happen until after UFA season is over.

just to clarify (doesn't affect my team anyways), but doesn't this rule only apply to Under 23s? (I thought the premise was so teams couldn't yo-yo/bury bonafide young NHL players up and down from the minors all season without waiver concerns).

maybe I missed a rule change

Yup that is true good point. Fart this rule even confuses me! So 23 year and under is the cut off.

I think the rule was originally put in place because prior to UFA season teams would send down to the AHL a bunch of really good CPHL level players who were under 23 with no concern of losing them on waivers, have more budget to spend on UFAs and then call their guys back up after securing more talent. along those lines anyways
