I would approach all the hotels downtown using my previous advice. If you aren't adverse to leaving Calgary, consider working at one of the camps up north. There are people more qualified than I to speak to the facilities, but some of these "camps" are more like hotels than anything. They need staff to run them and they pay pretty well.

Have you tried getting a job with a temp agency? Sounds it might be a good fit, you would get to try a few different companies and get some general office experience.

Where would I search for a camp job?

Know of any good agencies?
I figured as of right now those would be my best option.

Use job post compiling websites like indeed.ca and eluta.ca to start. The camps are run by large oil and gas providers (among other companies), so start there. You'll probably want to look in the location of Fort McMurray to start. You really just have to start looking, then keep narrowing your search as you find more information.

http://www.eluta.ca

Best job search site, period. It doesn't have a central database; rather, it crawls company websites for their direct postings, saving tons of time.

Yes and no. The management of the camps is often contracted out. The O&G companies aren't doing the hiring for the hospitality positions in the camps.

Maybe you should have. There seems to be a lot of good information in the job inquiry threads.

Why relegate yourself to traditional means when looking for a job? You may as well refuse to ask anyone you know if they have any job leads too...
