Didn't feel like fighting with the masses on the Trans Canada going to BC this weekend, so absolutely nothing for once! It should be awesome (seriously).

Writing-On-Stone is pretty sweet. You drive down a long road full of flat grasslands and the road basically enters this area full of hoodoos and paths. The entire campground is surrounded by hoodoos and Milk River. You can rent tubes and take either 2Hr or 4Hr trips down the river. The beach is close to the campsites so its easy to get your tube back to your site. Its a nice place to relax, and if your feeling brave you can hike in the Hoodoos.

Things to do:
- Tubing
- Hiking
- Beach Time
- Camping

Off Friday. I work Sat and Sunday. Having 2 jobs is great for the money but sucks for the extra working.

I have a total of 4 days off in all of July.

I dont think I'm going to do anything really. Sit around and read. Possibly while outside and while drinking. It is supposed to be beautiful.

I'll be at the 106th Annual Millarville Races tomorrow . . . . very popular event.

Pancake breakfast 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., O'Canada and the Millarville Musical Ride at noon followed by a pair of historic races, Ladies Side Saddle Race at 12:15 and the Stock Horse Race at 12:30, with post time for an afternoon of pari-mutuel thoroughbred racing run by Horse Racing Alberta starting at 1 p.m.

Great family event with three-legged and sack races for kids of all ages in the infield in front of the grandstand between the horse races. And a beer garden and betting for adults.

The historic Stock Horse Race, farmers, ranchers, acreage owners in the race that started it all in 1905, with the ladies frequently winning, including last year in this case:

Below, pari-mutuel racing in the afternoon

Below, an animated discussion before placing bets . . .

Below, Sack Races on Canada Day . . . .

Below, some awed young ladies look up to 2009 Calgary Stampede Queen Kerri Williamson . . . .

Great family day. Be there.

Heading to Panorama as well most likely. Going to do some boating and golfing, should be excellent.

If you other gents headed up want to grab a beer toss me a PM.

I'm going white water rafting on the Kicking Horse River on Saturday. I'm sooooo excited (and maybe a little nervous). I've never done anything like this before, but it should be pretty awesome! That's definitely the highlight of my weekend though... aside from that I'll be watching all the FA frenzy stuff, and a whole lot of lounging and drinking. Hopefully we'll have some nice weather!

100F with a heat index of 110F. Not much you can do in weather like that.
