Went yesterday, had a really good time. Got there a little before 10 on Saturday and had no problems whatsoever getting in. Myself and the two ladies I was with walked right up to the ticket booth and then waited to get in. As it got closer to 10:30 the line was rather long, but it was easy getting in.

Some great costumes, the dad who had his three sons as Jawa's was hilarious, and the girl with the great bum in the Psylocke costume got me in trouble. The line up for autographs and photo's seemed like a gong shot, wasn't at all interested in either before, but if I was it seemed to be a silly affair, but oh well.

Caught the end of the BSG talk while waiting for Summer Glau, and Kate Vernon was annoying, going on some rant when someone asked her some question about a Dr in Texas (?) that cured cancer. Michael Hogan was trying his best to bite his tongue, didn't seem please.

Summer was... gorgeous. Just god damn. Her answers were pretty boring and bland, but she is... amazingly beautiful.

Hit up the Boyce theatre after that for the voice actors. Maurice Lamarche was fantastic, as well as the other two voice actors. Some very good stories, and I'm really glad most of the questions were asked towards them, and not towards their "characters" as the annoying moderator tried to direct it too. Cool hearing how they come up with each voice. Rob Paulsen (Pinky, Pinky and the Brain) had good story with a Calgary connection.

Headed back to main hall, picked up some things, less then I thought, but I'm a cheap ####### so it's okay. Got back into the Corrall just before Shatner took the stage, he had some good stories and was as charismatic as ever. Walked around a bit more then left.

Good time, glad the lines didn't seem to effect me too much, some great costumes, good people, enjoyable time.

I should have come down for this. Riker was my favorite back in the day.

Not happy with my photography skills yesterday, but some pics nonetheless.
Little Ash? and R2

As a lego geek I enjoyed this quite a bit.

Little Rorschach was too good to pass up a picture

Not sure what this is from exactly, I thought Lord of the Rings, but was told Underworld?

Anyone get a picture of the kids dressed up as Jawas with the glowing eyes? Great costumes.

My first Entertainment Expo, and it was pretty fantastic.

Arrived at 1045 on Sunday and walked right in. No lines, no problems. It was busy right from the get-go, but was PACKED by about 1230.

Met Felicia Day while wandering around early on......that was kinda cool.

The Calgary Roller Derby Assoc. put on a pretty entertaining show around lunchtime. I was pleasantly surprised. Took about 10 minutes to really figure it out, but it was a blast once I did.

The costumes.......oh the costumes. Met a dude who had put ~1000 hours into his Master Chief outfit, and it showed. Details all the way down to voice modulation. Bravo.

Anyhow - well done fellow geeks. Really set a high bar for next year.

Blah!! of all the weekends to be sick. Plus not only that, it was pouring like hell when we were moving stuff to the van. I think i might have a water damage sale next year! hehe

One thing i couldn't believe is that there was ZERO Game of Thrones merchandising. That would have kicked assed.

Anyone got pics of that nsfw pirate chick on saturday? hehe

Did anyone see this guy there? He's on the front page of Reddit right now. I'm not sure if he has legged tucked underneath. Either way it's pretty amazing.

Ya, that was awesome. Didn't see him until later sunday. His leg is underneath, with the knee near that front plate and you can see his toes hanging.

That's what I figured. It's amazing to think how much work went into re-creating that chair, even if the movie kinda sucked.

My friend asked him how long it took, and apparently it was the actual chair from the movie. Makes it that much cooler if true, because I don't know why you'd make that up.

We were supposed to play for 90 minutes on Saturday morning but they ended up cancelling all their bands 3 days before, I'm not sure why. Pretty disappointing.
