Wow you are fast breaking that signing, can't find it anywhere online.
Great news for the Jays to get one of their tougher signings done quickly and into the system. AA has got his work cut out for him over the next month between working on that list and deciding what to do with the rotation as it implodes.

It's not signed, but the dollars have been worked out. In the MLB, they don't announce signings over slot right away because the MLB frowns upon it. That's why you usually only hear of signings that are under slot until closer towards the deadline in August. That's why Deck McGuire wasn't signed until the day before, even though they had a framework done prior to it.
Of the ones I've listed, only 5 have officially signed, but the others have agreed to terms that are significantly higher than slot (Vega-Rosaro, and Beede)
If the info turns out to be bad at a later time, I'll change it, but usually if there's smoke, there's fire. Last year, I only had to make one correction and that's because he decided to go to college at the last minute instead.

Appreciate the info either way - it was nice to read some positive news after the weekend pasting.
I'm enjoying the baseball reading this summer (trying to block the Canucks out) and would love to find a good broad spectrum MLB forum with lots of activity - do you have a good site you go to?

I usually get my info from http://www.forums.mlb.com/ml-bluejays
There's not a lot of different posters, and it can be a bit childish at times, but there's a lot of inside info there.
Usually things get posted on there a couple days before it gets around on the net, like Musgrove signing for 500K. Sort of like here on CP with Sureloss and all the others.

Zack Stewart was added to the 40 man roster and was recalled and will take his place.

As a bit of a suggestion, maybe use italics for deals that are agreed to but not official? The Beede deal is not a "done deal", he hasn't signed, and while he likely will and most likely also in that price range, I think it'd just be good if we separate it
Of course, it's up to you, but I just figure it's helpful. Last year there would be some players bolded that didn't end up signing.
EDIT: I read that thread on the Blue Jays forum. It was a link to Keith Law answering a question on Twitter saying he expected Beede would sign for 3 Mil. There has been no movement on this front, and he is not signed nor has he agreed to a deal in principle.

Kevin Goldstein tweeted
Lots of industry rumors that the #BlueJays had a pre-draft deal done with 1st round pick Tyler Beede. Against the rules; but always happens
So it seems that things are somewhat moving towards a deal. I'll leave him in the limbo section with Vega-Rosado and now Jacob Anderson until more info comes up.

Here's a link to a real good piece of Bautista, I have to admit prior to reading this I was very skeptical about Bautista's improvement not aided by PEDS but this has removed that thought from my mind

Love the new format Caged. Just as a note it is "Taylor Cole" not "Cole Taylor".
He's one of the more interesting picks to find in the 29th round. 1st rounder out of high school, but no one could get a read on his signability due to his desire to go on a mormon mission. Finally took the mission in Toronto after 1st junior college season, and just played his first season of NCAA ball this year and was the ace of the staff.

Stewart is pitching great (although as I wrote this gave up his first ER in the 5th) but the Jays are making Longball Guthrie look like Cy Young out there today.
*Edit first run was in the 6th - went through 5 scoreless

Guthrie leaves the game due to a back injury..
Jays have tied it up with a single from Bautista (2-2)
Going to top of the 7th.

Thought they had the series sweep when Hill got a single and loaded the bases there until I saw Edwin come up to the box. DP and back into the battle. Fun to watch Stewart pitch so far though - great movement and he came out pounding the strike zone.

Yep, Jays should release "E5" already... That fellow adds nothing to the roster.

I think he's living on borrowed time afforded to him by that injury to Brett Lawrie.

Line movement was telling for todays game.....only a matter of time before the Orioles could stop their losing streak in Toronto. Many missed opportunities for both sides and awful closing by Rauch.

I'd say Nix has the inside track on getting punted before Encarnacion but I think it'll be close between them. Nix plays hard and has my respect at least relative to E5 but I don't think I've seen a worse batter play everyday for the Jays ever even if only for a short stretch. I remember thinking Manny Lee was bad during the first year I ever watched the Jays and looking back he was 60 points better.
Is it just me or does Nix look like he uses a mini bat or has super short arms? He looks like an oompa loompa on outside strikes.
Snider is hitting again with a 16/26 streak going on right now in AAA - having him and Lawrie replace those two in the next two weeks would be amazing.
Apparently McGowan is really looking good right now too in the further good news category. Threw 2.0 scoreless innings at extended spring a couple days ago hitting 94.
