i don't know that much about cars but how many of you have heard about the Bugatti Veyron? probably the best car ever made and may never be beaten.
infact i doubt a car will ever be made this good again for many reason.
anyway if you do not know about this car in north america, look into it.
all i can remember about it is that it has 2 engines, 1001 BHP, can do 250+ mph and 0-60 in 2 seconds. if you raced the mclaren f1 (used to be the fastest road car ever) to 200 mph, you could let the mclaren head start to 120mph and still beat it to 200! also at top speed you can burn a full tank of gas (100 gallons or litres cant remember) in about 10 minutes! also they cost 5million GBP to make and only sell for about 900,000 GBP. bargain!
Magic
by the way the challenger does look nice but i doubt we will get that over here in Britville.

Definitely a unique look to them. They are only made when an order comes in. A special handling mode kicks in at something like 235+mph.

Yeah, at 235 the flux-capaciter kicks in and you can travel faster than time itself.

I got a bit mixed up. One of the initial barriers they had in development of this car was with the spoiler in position they couldn't get above 230mph. So they developed a system where you can put a key in the floor (!) which lowers the car another couple of inches and locks the spoiler so it won't deploy. You can't turn, but you can get up to 253mph.
Gotta love those W16 engines.

Cool, were they the older (Classic) Mini's, or the new Mini (2002+)?

Both were 2002's. One Cooper and one Cooper S. Fun cars, but a biatch to deal with when it comes to maintenance and repairs.

Nice car Lanny!! I also own one - I have a 2005 350Z performance model, Le Mans Sunset colour (orange-bronze) - it's my toy, so I don't drive it all the time - but man does it go!!

I was trying to talk Mrs. Cowperson into buying a Dodge Charger so I could finally live out some benign late 70's phallic fantasy . . . . but she upscaled to a new 2005 Chrysler 300 C with a v-8 hemi instead. Awesome vehicle by the way but not a muscle car!!
The Challenger looks pretty cool . . . . but I bought a new Durango so I'll have to live with that for awhile!!

Bimmers are getting a bad rep as mechanical nightmares. Pretty amusing that they're considered a prestigious car to own.

I personally think that Bimmers are quite an accomplished and well engineered machine when it comes to being a "driver's car". They are a true joy to drive in a spirited manner, unlike a lot of other cars... Haven't had much to do with any mechanical "nightmares" myself.
However, I agree that there is a certain percentage of the population that will buy a Bimmer purely for "image".

Wow. Just wow.

Hey, I said that your car would be my choice in that price range, but don't take away the fact that this car IS faster than yours. I happen to know of a forced induction 205 HP piece of GM junk that will run even with a 350Z, and likely beat the convertible (haven't tried that one out yet, but they are slower because of the extra weight).
Plus for those of us in Calgary, natrually aspirated is a bad thing. A turbo or supercharged car loses a lot less power to the altitude than an NA car.
