No one knows how long Feaster had been trying to get a deal done with Tim. Therefore, you can't be mad he didn't get signed. The only thing we know for sure is he didn't want to sign with the Flames, and Feaster made a deal that was better than the alternative in less than 24 hours.
I'm not sold on Feaster yet, but I'm not throwing him under the bus for this one either. I think Flames fans will be happier once the draft comes around.

What a seriously ridiculous post! So if you were in Feaster's position and as the deadline approached you were told your prospect refuses to sign and will only sign with the Rangers what would you do genius?
Something must of happend fairly recently to change his attitude towards the Flames. It can only be speculated. For all we know Backlund told him this wasn't the place to be at the Worlds? Maybe he got cold feet about Western Canada at the last minute? Who really knows.
Or he realized he had the Flames over the barrel and could demand whatever he wanted. Tough to say how this played out.
