This better be Calgary's opportunity to move up to 4th in the draft to get Landeskog or someone.

Jay Bouwmeester and the 13th overall for the 4th overall, Bryce Salvador and a 3rd round pick.

This leaves us with a pick in rounds 1-6, we shed $4 million in salary, and we draft one of Gabriel Landeskog, Johnathan Huberdeau or Sean Couturier.

So, does Feaster take one of those seconds and our first and try to push up the draft to get one of these top 8 picks?

What a baby. I mentioned before how it was a nasty sign about how much he was pouting because of being drafted by calgary.

I am suprised that players are even able to be this stubborn, figured they had to give their club a chance.

Jim Playfair is exactly the kind of pro coach Roman Horak needs right now.

We just got Lindrossed! Maybe Erixon was worried about our current d-glut. Good news for Brodie I guess.

Hopefully in a couple of years, while we're playing the Rangers....Roman Horak goes blazing up the wing, turns Timmy "the tool" Erixon inside out, rips it top shelf on Lundqvist, and steals us two points from the Rangers.

Well, the silver lining is, at least Feaster was able to turn one 2nd rounder into two.

The damage is done. May as well take the high road rather than whine to the media about it like the Canucks or Kevin Lowe would.

At least people can't say Feaster is turning out like Sutter. Feaster acquires multiple 2nd round picks, Sutter trades them away.

Our defensive prospect depth still isn't that bad. Brodie and Breen are relatively close to the NHL (although not nearly as highly touted as Erixon), with Leach, Ramage, Pelech and Negrin in the fold as well. Time will tell on this one.

Crap the day just got worse. My friend ( canucks fan) just called to laugh at the state of the flames. I had to listen to "we are going to win the cup" and " looks like no one wants to play in Calgary". Time to turn off the ringer.

I remember watching the draft 2 years ago and seeing the look on Erixon's face. Absolutley did not seem thrilled about the flames at all.

For better or worse, I'm glad to see Feaster is trying to shake things up

If the Canucks win tonight this will be one of the worst days of the year.

I know it is going to be popular to blame Sutter for this but really how is it his fault. He cannot predict the future.

Erixon came to camps for the Flames in the past, always said he was excited to be drafted in the first round by the Flames, and all signs showed that this kid was going to be a Calgary Flame for a long time.

Obviously something has changed in the last 6 months that caused him to not want to play here.

Who knows maybe Sutter getting fired is what changed his mind because he thought that he would not get a fair shot since the GM that drafted him was now gone.

Just what we need. Another lazy player.
Sounds a lot like one Rene Bourque.

Feaster dropped the ball on this one. Hope he has a few tricks up his sleeves for the draft...
