Will & Kate + July 8
http://www.people.com/people/package...498782,00.html
So the The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be in Calgary from July 6-8. I wasn't aware that they were coming here. Most Royal visits in the past seem to have avoided Calgary although I am probably wrong about that. I wonder what their itinerary is. Are they really going to visit the Stampede?

They're going to visit Cowboys, on personal recommendation from Prince "I don't know anyone named Cherie" Harry.

Wow. Major lame points for making this thread on a hockey forum and not mentioning whether Pippa is also tagging along.
Actually, this has no place on a hockey forum regardless.

They might be going to the Aviation Museum. Kate's Grandfather was stationed in Calgary, at what is now the airport.

Unless Kate is planning to pull a train, this is not information that is of interest to me.

Maybe they can take a ride on "The Scorpion" while they're here.

Queen Elizabeth II was here in May 2005 to mark the Alberta Centennial.

Looks like Canada day in the capital is going to be less party and more annoying security with the royal couple being here.

Landcaster Bomber?
Also, it's not because of what's there that they would be going there. The building itself has a significant history to the middleton family.

No place on a hockey forum? Kind of like everything else in the off topic forum? Seriously, you make some of the weirdest/worst posts in the off topic forium of anyone.
It's like you don't understand that there's a whole other forum on CP dedictated to non-hoickey topics, and get confused everytime you click onto it, wondering why the threads aren't hockey related.

Yeah I guess they don't have any of those in the UK.
I'd say "significant" history is a bit of an over statement since he was here for two years as an flight instructor. Its not like they saved his bunk bed...
How much of the building is as it was in WW2?
