				 Sergei Priakin Award

Sergei Priakin Award - Most underrated CPHL player voted on by all CPHL clubs.

Since I’ve always found this a tough award to search through each team look for a player I thought it might be better to deal with it the same way the NHL does the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy… Each NHL team is responsible for selecting one player from their team to be voted on…. This way for our CPHL awards we as GM’s just need to vote for the player we think best from the 30 selections

This is a mandatory exercise for all GMs.

			Easy for me
Rod Pelley - Led the Panthers in points with 54 in 77 games, also led in +/- with a +7. 30 of his 38 PIM were from fights, so only 4 minor penalties all year. He's only a 58 OV player.

Perhaps a clue on why I'm drafting 2nd......

Wild nominate Marty Biron. He played just as well as our #1 goalie - and was soundly dumped as his reward.
Really my team is full of underachievers this year - Biron is the one guy that played above his rating but there are likely buttloads of more worthy candidates.

He's rated 62 overall and as the injuries mounted for our struggling club, he came up big.

Playing mostly 3rd line minutes throughout the year, Paul stepped it up for the Jackets down the stretch when he was put on the first line and ultimately got the Jackets into the playoffs.

With a very reasonable contract and a great FO rating, he will be a Jacket next season.

Played 4th line center for most of the season. Was surrounded by scrubs for the most part but still managed to be a stand out on a not so great Dallas team.

			NY Islanders wish to nominate
 RADIM VRBATA

With an overall rating of only 65 Radim played all 82 games with 26 goals and 26 assists for 52 points and a team 2nd best +20. As a UFA signing from last year Radim did everything we had hoped for and more. Winner of several unsung hero awards.

			Pens nominate:
 Travis Moen
 64GP 7G 8A 15PTS +12 33PIMS

Travis was one of only a couple players to start the season and finish it with the Pens. He was gritty and a defensive stalwart in a team that missed structure from day 1. He played tough hockey while staying out of the penalty box only racking up 33mins in penalties.
