MinistryWatch gives his organization a transparency rating of C, which I guess means he's middle-of-the pack as far as lying, conniving religious charlatans go.

Give me an A, or give me an F.
Rome has it right on that one. A makes the show better, F makes the show better because it is a train wreck.

Harold Camping speaks!
My guess is that the Board of Directors push the old geezer out the door in an attempt to salvage what remains of some pretty valuable radio properties.

The 'Rapture' DID come - and now the world may end on OCTOBER 21 instead: Preacher breaks his silence on 'interesting' weekend with bizarre new theory
I personally hope Camping survives another 5 months to see Oct. 21st come and go and have to explain that one as well. He's actually made 12 failed predictions of the end of the world since the 1970s though, so I guess he's used to this.

What kind of messed up belief system must you have when you consider the end of the world to be "awesome news"? These lunatics are very seriously mentally ill.

Somehow I doubt that was their intended usage of the word.
There is, sadly, a very sizeable number of non-mainstream radical Christians who are anxiously looking forward to the end of the world because they genuinely believe it will be a positive event.

That's how the word is used in the Bible. Whether or not they were looking forward to it, I sincerely doubt they would use a word like "awesome" to proclaim how much they are looking forward to it. As poor and misguided as these people were/are, I have to give some of them credit. They spent a lot of their money in an attempt to warn people. I think I would have spent my money on something much more fun...

It's also why they are big Israel supporters. Not because they like Israel or think that a Jewish-state should exist, but because it will bring about armageddon. Yay!!!
