Default Pointless Thread Thanking The Silver Cavalier,

I know I might get flamed for this and the odds are that this person is not on CP however I wanted to share a mini story (more like cliff notes) that brightened my day.

-At lights on crowchild in front of McMahon Stadium and a younger looking homeless guy is doing the standard walk between cars with a sign saying he is hungry. The person in front of me reaches over to the passenger seat and grabs a big box of cookies and gives them to the guy.
I know this sounds non thread worthy and completely pointless however the smile it brought to the homeless guys face was priceless. In turn it literally turned my stress free day into one where I appreciate the little things in life.
A box of cookies just made this guys day and I am concerned about what to do this weekend.
Let us all have a great time this long weekend and appreciate the small things in life!!

If you are on CP I wanted to let you know that you made more than just the day of that homeless fella.

It could have been a holdup too, you know. Like... gimme your cookies or I pee on your car.

I love offering food instead of money when a homeless guy asks for change so he can eat. Always get that "WTF I want money not food" look. Same goes for bus tickets when they wants change for the bus.

The bus ticket one usually backfires; the hobo will take it and then sell it to somebody else for $1. So then you just spent $2.50 to give him $1.

I don't see this story as a positive at all. It is only encouraging the 'homeless' guy to continue his begging ways instead of getting a real job.

In Chicago, my brother in-law gave a homeless guy and his son half a of a deep dish pizza. They were extremely excited. The guy gave it to his kid first and let him go to town.
