Celtics are in trouble, I'm guessing this years finals will be a rematch of 06.

RIP Robert 'Tractor' Traylor.

He was only 34 years old.

Well pretty clear the league didn't want Boston going home tonight.

Pretty tough to follow the NBA with the garbage reffing that goes on.

Makes the NHL guys look like angels.

Heat up 6 with 40 seconds left on back to back 3's from Lebron.

Clutch performances by both Wade and Lebron, hopefully they can beat the Bulls.

Goes from tied to 10 unanswered points by Lebron to end it. Heat win by 10 and move on to the ECF.

Good to see the Heat come on strong at the end and the refs let them play rather than call the ticky-tack fouls from early in the game.

Laker and Celtics out, it doesn't get much better than that.

They were still making soft calls, they just all went against the Celtics. Wade got almost as many FT's as the entire Celtics team.

In the end the Heat had 38 FT's to the Celtics 20. At no point in the game were the refs trying to give the Celtics a win.

In the first quarter Garnett could have pulled out a gun and shot someone and that guy would have got called for the foul.

Wade and the Heat get calls because they attack the basketball and the Celtics weak interior defense.

With Rondo hurt they have nobody who can do the same so of course they don't get as many calls.

The refs kept the Celts in it in the first half and when they stopped letting Garnett do anything he wanted you saw what happened when they let the talent decide the game.

Lakers will be back next year and win the title. That punk Lebron and his boyfriend Bosh are not winners, or champions. Derek Rose is going to light them up.

Both teams were attacking the paint in the 4th, only one of them was getting trips to the foul line though.

The refs were not trying to help the Celtics win this game. If they were they wouldn't have given the Heat twice as many FTs.

That's because only one team was getting fouled.

My comment was about the first half when the Celtics were getting away with a lot, I said that in the second half they did a better job. And the Heat got twice as many FT because the Celtics fouled them more than twice as much.

So are you saying that at half time the refs all of the sudden decided that they no longer wanted to give the win to the Celtics?

The Celtics were shooting above 50% iirc going into the 4th quarter, that has absolutely nothing to do with the refs letting them get away with a bunch. They were just doing a good job of hitting their shots and Allen was hitting threes. You can continue to blame the refs all you want, but it's hard to take you seriously when there was such a large discrepancy in the number of free throws given.

The NBA wanting them to win comment was a joke based on what they have done and been accused of in the past. But it did seem like they changed the way they called the game.

Again part of the reason that they were able to shoot that well was that in the paint they were able to get away with a lot.

I am not blaming the refs as in the end it was clear that the talented team were able to win, but the way they were calling the game in the fist was bad and in favor of the Celtics.

It isn`t surprising really as guys like Garnett often get calls in that league especially when going up against a guy like Anthony.

Also there is almost always a large discrepancy in Heat games and FT because pretty much nobody is able to attack the basket like Wade and LeBron.

The Celtics really weren't getting away with anymore than the Heat were, the refereeing was very balanced.

So if it was just the refs keeping the Celtics in the game, why did they score just as many points as the Heat in the 3rd quarter?

Anthony wasn't playing in this series, so that's not really relevant. As for Garnett getting calls, he definitely isn't getting anymore than Wade.

Last nights game had the biggest difference in FTA for the entire series, if the refs were trying to help the Celtics the margin wouldn't have been anywhere near that big.

As a Celtics fan you obviously feel different but as fan of the NBA they seemed to be getting a lot of calls and getting away with a lot.

It wasn't the Hat versus the Raptors. The Celtics have some talent to keep them in the game.

I am pretty sure Joel Anthony was guarding Garnett 90% of the time this series so it would appear that he was there and would be relevant.

It was because the Heat realized that there was nobody on the Celtics that could stop them going to the basket. And for the last time it was early in the game it appeared the refs were favoring them. I said that in the second half they let them play. Early on it looked liked the refs were helping them not throughout the game.

I was cheering for the Heat in this series.

I figured you were talking about Carmelo from round 1 for some reason, yes superstars get the calls The heat have superstars as well, and like KG, Wade was getting calls against guys like Green.

The Heat had most of their FTs in the first half, they were actually getting less calls in the second. The refs just called less fouls in general in the second, but the calls were consistently fair throughout the game. The Celtics were not getting away with more than the Heat in the first though.

Thunder will likely roll the Grizzlies tonight, setting up the Conference Finals:

Miami Heat vs Chicago Bulls
Oklahoma City Thunder vs Dallas Mavericks

Heat and Mavericks will advance giving us a rematch of '06, except this time I think the Mavericks get their championship.

I think that Memphis can win tonight and stretch it to 7 but if things go the way you expect them to go
I think both of these will be really good series.

OKC probably wont have an answer for Dirk but I don't think Dallas has an answer for the athleticism of Durant, Westbrook, and Co.

The Heat has shown that they don't have an answer for Rose (or any good point guard for that matter) all season but with the way LeBron and Wade are playing it probably won't matter.

My Predictions:
OKC in 6
Heat in 7

Crazy 4th quarter in OKC, Dirk hit some really clutch shots.

Game is going to OT.
