I don't watch shows with my wife, but I have to say there are just too many good shows on to keep up.
I stumbled across one called Shameless the other day, that I thought was really good. I'd never heard of it before then. It's a typical dysfunctional family one.

I think it must have been poor ratings, it was a great show. I don't think I ever watched all of it because they released some episodes online after it ended on TV. I wonder if those are on Netflix.

Wait human target was cancelled? Not the greatest show ever but was good enough to spend an hour watching every week.

Are you talking about Life on Mars (that was on ABC though)? or the other one where the time travel was involuntary.

EDIT: Journeyman... that's the one! I loved that show and watched it on NBC... but they killed it too

Family guy was canceled and brought back, can't imagine CBS/NBC/ABC ever doing that

and it takes chances on other types of shows that just wouldn't ever be on other networks (Firefly, Terminator etc.)
No, Fox deserves no credit. Firefly only lasted 14 episodes.

F*** Fox.

Fox cancelled Millenium way too early as well. #######s.

Can't say I was a fan of any of the shows that spawned this thread though.

The Good Guys, on the other hand, was an hour of fun every week and I'm a little bit upset that they axed that show too. I love you Dan Stark.

F*** Fox.
They seriously didn't even give the show a chance. Few things it got pre-empted by baseball more than 3 times so no one knew the timeslot at all. Some of the episodes were aired out of order. They also did little to no advertising for it.

Plus, they cancelled it even before the full 14 eps were even aired. From what I read the show was some exec's project and when he left the other execs just made sure it died. Stupid fox indeed.

Chicago Code was fun, but could have been way better.

Not surprised that they cancelled it.

Yeah, when it aired they didn't even show the proper pilot as the pilot. They showed episode two "Train Job" as the pilot, and from then it was all just a mess.

It was so badly mishandled, and it had a terrible time slot. It was doomed before it even aired.

Chicago Code was always going to be compared to the Shield, but it was never going to be able to be as good. Hell, it was never gonna be close. That's not a slight on Chicago Code, just a statement on how good the Shield was. Shawn Ryan and company created something truly special with that show. It won't be duplicated and it can't be duplicated.

I won't watch any new series until it is under contract to be completed as the creator sees fit.

I read the tabloids more often than I read about new shows.

Peter: Everybody, I got bad news: We've been canceled!

Lois: Oh, no! Peter, how could they do that?

Peter: Well, unfortunately, Lois, there's just no more room on the schedule. We've just got to accept the fact that Fox has to make room for terrific shows like Dark Angel, Titus, Undeclared, Action, That 80's Show, Wonderfalls, Fastlane, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Skin, Girl's Club, Cracking Up, The Pitts, Firefly, Get Real, Freaky Links, Wanda at Large, Costello, The Lone Gunmen, A Minute with Stan Hooper, Normal, Ohio, Pasadena, Harsh Realm, Keen Eddie, The Street, American Embassy, Cedric the Entertainer, The Tick, Luis, and Greg the Bunny.

Lois: Is there no hope?

Peter: Well, I suppose if all those shows go down the tubes we might have a shot.

I'm pretty sure the reason this got cancelled is that we were the only two people who watched it. Insanely fun show.

People seriously like that show? I couldn't watch anymore than 5 minutes the first time I saw it.

Oh well. To each his own.

That female actor on Chicago Code killed it. What a terrible actress who always seemed to be acting a little too much.

Watched one show and never watched again because of her.
