That would require to much human interaction; funny how the internet has made people so lazy that they'll spend ten minutes asking a forum for something that easily takes maybe three 30 second phone calls.

Not saying I'm not guilty of it myself, just an observation.

Way back many, many years ago, I used to work one of those ice cream bikes over the summer. I always made sure that I swung by the local industrial area. Talk about instant sales! Thing is, after a few weeks of doing this, I had a very tight schedule in that area. Business' don't tend to like it when their employee's go running out off the floor whenever they feel the urge. So I started showing up just before break started. That solved a lot of the problems.

When guys would ask me to stop by, I'd have to give them my boss' phone number so they could be added to the 'route', with their break time slotted in. Likely, this is what's going on with this fellow, too. As others have suggested, call the company and suggest that they stop by. They will only do it if it's profitable, so suggesting a once a week thing unless you feel 'the guys' would support a once-a-day schedule is most likely.

Then you can spend your summer driving across Canada selling ice cream along the way to pay for fuel and food. Maybe you could make a CBC documentary about it. (The ad is for a truck in New Brunswick)

Yeah, it was the first one I found. I wasn't going to scour the internet to find a local ice cream truck for sale just for a joke.

Yeah, I tried that. I got a lot of hits from people wanting to sell me an icecream truck, or hire me to drive one. Perhaps I should have been more clear in saying that I don't know the company names of the major mobile ice cream distributors and was hoping for help in contacting one.

Dickie Dee has not returned my calls. Meanies.

Call The Nut Man get him to come to your office. Once he starts coming regularly, ask him to bring ice cream. Keep asking until he does. The Nut Man in Lethbridge came to my office on a regular basis, he would sell more than just nuts and candy if he got enough requests or thought it would make money. One hot summer day he came in with a cooler on his cart and he was selling popsicles.

*be prepared to pay very high prices
