I actually posted this topic just to see if anyone would notice the 'trick' the author used to see who's paying attention.

When I originally read this article I laughed my butt off, thought it was such a funny yet interesting idea. I mean how often are we all guilty of popping into debates about something where people link to articles and not actually reading them or skimming them over.
I think this might tie into the idea of if you already have a strong opinion on whatever topic it is, you will probably be much less likely to read an article that opposes your view. I wouldn't be surprised if thats up in the 80-90% of people.
So what does that say about internet, debating, and maybe the broader topic of if internet access is like accessing an 'amazing library of knowledge' when most people will stick to reading and accessing what already supports their viewpoints.
I'm not excluding myself from this either, this was not some attempt to embarrass anyone or make myself out to be clever. This article just really opened my eyes to something I think we all should remind our selves of.
