The ONLY nation that has anything to benefit from announcing Bin Laden is dead is the US. The US has gone through hell in the last decade and surely there would have been more opportune times to announce it than now if that's what you're getting at.

Well kinda. The entrance would wouldn't be immense, but usually the whole back of the head would be blown clear.
Unless he was hit in the jaw or the nose area, then his face would have basically exploded.
