If you look at the wide crowd shots, you can see CPC operatives handing out copies of the Secret Agenda.

50% or more of the popular vote for the Conservatives in Nunavit, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Plus, mid-40s in BC, Ontario, and New Brunswick.

Harper's speech would have more charisma if it were a memo posted on the Conservative website.

The media speak for a portion of opinion, I'm sure there are a lot of people bashing these results in the media but majority rules. In the states ( and the world) were very hard on Bush, yet he won a second term in the very country that questioned his leadership on a daily basis.

Harper has the majority of support from Canadians that got off their lazy butts

So you prefer sweet nothings ala Jack Layton, to actual, concrete info. Fair enough.

Wow. I really didn't think that the NDP would sweep the Bloc out of power and relegate the Liberals to third party status.

The power that Quebec voters can wield is frightening.

Waking up to this election scenario was something that I absolutely did not see. Conservative majority and the decimation of the Liberals and the Bloc in Quebec.

Wow.

Content aside, of course. The man's one hell of a public speaker. And I'm as pro Harper as they come.

Ignatieff concedes, congratulates Harper, the people boo.
Duceppe concedes, congratulates Harper, the people boo.
May celebrates, congratulates Harper, the people boo.
Layton celebrates, congratulates Harper, the people boo.

Harper celebrates, congratulates Layton, the people politely applaud.

This is how it's always been and always will be. Respect is not mutual in Canadian politics.

Obama out speaks all of them combined and virtually all of our leaders could learn a thing or two from him. Obama's speech last night was unreal.
