Is it really true the the Liberals have never been 3rd in an election? I've heard this several times tonight, I just can't seem to believe that.

So lets see if Duceppe blames his loss on foreign votes and Jewish money?

They don't. They usually call the fascits or something like that.
It's pretty standard fare, fascists vs crazy hippies.

All I care about is that a majority means we can stop those stupid-a$$ "Harper sucks" "No, you suck" commercials, and for the love of cheese, NO MORE FATAING ELECTIONS until 2015 at the earliest.
Harper: you won. Get on a "fixed election date" kick and stick to it. Even though I know you won't. Oh, and fata off my tv. (that goes for all the other parties too. I can happily slide back into my political apathy)
Oh, and fix the senate. Don't be a #####, open the constitution to change it. Everyone wants it.

Considering the platform the NDP ran on, and how ridiculous the economic policies were, which is even worse considering we just came out of a recession and everything is so touch and go, I'd say that people who vote for a party that basically wants to go against everything all the economists in the world say is good for job creation and economy growth, might be a bit crazy.
But thats just me.

Yup. They've always been either the government or the official opposition.

On the scary Conservatives... They elected 60 MPs in Ontario, and a dozen in the Maritimes. I don't think most of these guys are Christian fundies, even if you want to pretend every single one in the Prairies is.
The Conservatives will have a wide demographic in their caucus.

A good election for Canada in many regards.
A majority gov that will provide a period of stability.
A train wreck for the Liberals that will force them to re-boot.
A new opposition.
The extinction of the Bloc?
Possibly a seat for the Greens.

Actually, something that really GMG in this election was the condescending talking down to people about whom to vote for. Lecturing people about why their vote is wrong won't change their vote, it will make them angry.
