If the Liberal party does end up cashing it in and merges with the NDP similar to how the PCs merged with the Reform party after they were destroyed, then the polarization of Canadian politics will be complete.

There just doesn't seem to be room in the centre anymore.

I'm glad we'll finally get to see what Harper can do with a majority. All these consecutive minorities were starting to wear thin.

Yeah, the Conservatives never recovered from their 2 seat performance in 1993.

I didn't mind the cons in a minority but I am freaked out about the majority. That voter subsidy legislation is going to destroy our democracy.

real shame that the BQ has only nailed down 4 seats......i hope that the conservatives make everyone wait the maximum number of years (7?) before calling an election

way more liberal members would choose conservative over NDP though

not gonna happen though, the Liberal's had a down year, the NDP are having a greatest ever year

Can't believe a guy who once called Nelson Mandela a terrorist, and blocked an honor for him won 9,000 - 2,500 votes. Why the Cons do not run a dog wearing blue in that riding is beyond me. At least the dog would bring more to the table than that dumb a$$.

i'm conflicted. not sure what to expect out of Harper with a majority, but seeing the Bloc get crushed has to be worth it. plus with the Ignatief getting his ass handed to him that has to force some real change in the Liberal party, I just hope that by 2015 they can finally get someone to lead them worth voting for

Yep. Some of the comments about NDP supporters in this thread are just pathetic. And no, I didn't vote NDP.

Harper majority scares the crap out of me.

As soon as the muzzle drops i'm sure he is going to call Kate Middleton a terrorist.
