I'm sure that there are some other SNL fans out there. Nows your chance....on Monday vote Jack "Handy" for PM!
Exactly...and it also stated that the reson for the raid was to look for underage Asian hookers. Right there in black and white. I have zero problem with any of it, but I can certainly see where it could be an issue ofr others.
Apparently though, that somehow has me manipulating something of some sort.

Ok, starting over as friends. You did not like my first post. You disagreed. Tell me why. Without conjecture and hearsay. With what it means to the voting public. I told the board plainly, I was against it because it lowered the democratic process.
If you believe it is important, please tell me why.

I said I had no problem with this stuff....repeatedly, only that it may be be for other people and that you saying it was a non-issue simply wasn't true. And where did I say you were over reacting? Are you sure you are reading what i have posted?

All I said was that YOU telling people it "shouldnt be talked about" and "isnt an issue" was wrong when it is all over every media outlet.

I hate being told what is and isnt an issue for me. I have been told that the possibility of a coalition isnt an issue and is only a red herring. I say BS as it certainly is an issue with me when i know that the Bloc would have to be part of it. I am also not alone in that thought.

Do you know what else lowers the "democratic process"? Asking if this is like the equivalent of the Birth Certificate garbage.
Like it or not, it isn't about Jack getting a handjob it is about Jack making stupid decisions when he was in a public office and getting caught with his pants down. The Birth Certificate thing is built in fallacies, this is built in Jack not using his head and going to a massage parlor which was known to police to be closer to a brothel than a medical clinic. That just shows a complete lack of judgment on his part and I don't see you disagreeing with that - yes it is a smear campaign but it is one with a base in Jacks own behaviours.
Granted at the same time I don't think something that took place 15 years ago should have any impact in Federal Politics now.

Way to sit on the fence. Way to take a shot, and yet shy away. You should run.
I would ask Daradon to use common sense when placing his vote, but I think that might be out of his element. So I'll just remind him that the election is on May 3rd and for him to tell all his friends

I dont believe its an important issue...but i understand where many would/do and that is their right. Particularly with the hint of underage girls as part of the story. Do I believe Layton was with a younger than 18 lady that day? No.

I hate the possibility of a coalition too. The funny thing is I like the way the minority is working. Some of Canada's best achievements were done in a minority. Universal health care. Our flag.
I like I minority. I hate a coalition. And I hate the Bloc. The very first question I asked, 4 pages before that got buried (and look for it) was 'which do you prefer? A strong Bloc, or a strong NDP?' Obviously one is coming at the cost of the other.
If there is a serious crime, I'm the first to shout him out. I have 3 younger sisters. I have scars on myself from defending one. I'm just tired of this 'last week, look what we found,' BS. It serves no one.

Yes not jumping to conclusions when you don't know all of the facts in a case from 15 years ago is a bad thing.
- Jack Layton obviously showed a case of very bad judgment for a politician - there should be no denying that.
- It was 15 years ago and we don't know all of the facts as there are only two people who know what happened that day.
- It will get blown out of proportion and it will amount for a small mess for the NDP to clean up this weekend.
- I think that this is an issue which should be discussed though and not ignored which is asinine in my opinion.

So we agree?
You're busting my balls for what reason?
EDIT: Oops to the last. Not sure it really deserves more than gossip discussion. If you wanna be tabloid grannies, go for it. Actually don't. That's why I spoke out.

Simple answer IMO. NDP.
The Bloc are hell bent on one thing only and that is Quebec, therefore they should have no say in policy decsions as they simply have no interest what happens anywhere else in the country.
The NDP making economic policies should scare the bejezzuz out of everyone IMO, but at least they are a nationalist party.
I have said all along any combination of the Liebrals/CPC and the NDP that can get together and form government, then so be it and get to work.
Anything requiring the Bloc to prop it up regardless of "promises" to just not vote to defeat the house is absolutely unacceptable to me however. they simply wont do anything of the sort without some major greasing of the palms for one province only.
It usurps the entire process that is in place when someone gets that much power without running candidates in 80% of the ridings in the country. It is inherently disingenuous to allow it.
the new GG may have a real serious problem on his hands within a few weeks.
