He's 16. I thought the Chiefs would take Constanzo too. Lots of negativity surrounding Brandon Albert these days.

Overrated?

Sanchez, Matthews, Bush, Polumalu all seem to be doing well for their teams lately.

Throw in guys like Palmer, Tatupu, Cushing and it seems that USC is doing just fine producing NFL talent.

Tell your son it will be fine because by the time the Lions guys get there the junior high CB's that the Lions have will have already watched their men run by them.

Such a terrible pick by the Lions. I thought that the Millen days were over but it seems that the current morons have no problem with choosing questionable guys at a position of strength. I look forward to the pick of Mallet in the second round to bolster our old QB core.

It seems no matter what happens the Lions management are hell bent on making terrible picks.

Pretty happy to see Locker go somewhat early (although wouldn't have minded if he fell a bit and the Seahawks landed him).
I went to high school with the guy, so its always good to see him do well.

Cant be disappointed that the Packers went O-line with their pick. Gotta keep Rodgers upright afterall and with the two hits to his head last year it becomes even more of a priority.

Reading a little more about Sherrod he fits right in with what GB needs as well. he is a very cerebral guy with a 3.5GPA, all American this season and didnt give up a sack in the last 2 years playing in the SEC. Also was the best lineman on a team that rushed for over 200 yds a game. Good stuff.

Now on to get that OLB and a WR and a RB.

I was hoping the Patriots would draft Ingram, but had a feeling they would trade.

Now they have 3 picks in the second round, plus their two in the 3rd and defer having two 1st round picks until next year. Pats-Saints Super Bowl and the Patriots end up with picks 31-32, haha.

I hope they take a DL and an RB in the 2nd round.

Well, Anthony Costonzo dropped further then I thought they would. I even had a bit of hope when he made it past 20, but no such luck. Glad we addressed our OL position with Gabe Carimi, but I really havent seen or heard much of him leading up to the draft so there may be some homework to be done. Looks like a guy who dropped from his projection and is described as being a 'bad man' and 'punishing to defesnive ends' so that is promising.
Wisconsin has been known for turning out great OL in the past

PS. Im curious as hell to see who the Bears wanted that they were going to trade up with Baltimore for, still I think its funny that they missed their pick.

Apparently it was a 4th round pick. But the Chiefs let both teams off the hook by doing the Raider thing and taking the freak with crazy good measurables.

Sounds like the Ravens are none too happy about the situation and have filed a complaint with the NFL asking for Chicago's 4th round pick in compensation. IMO both teams are in the wrong.

Some think that JA was worried that the Chiefs would take Carimi, others say they were trading up for Baldwin, and I've even heard that Angelo stayed on the phone to prevent GB from trading up in front of them to take Carimi. Guess I will never know

With the 21st pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Browns selected former Baylor University defensive tackle Phil Taylor.

The Browns have traded the No. 6 overall pick to the Atlanta Falcons, who hold the No. 27 pick in the first round.

In exchange, the Browns received the 27th, 59th (second round) and 124th (fourth round) in 2011, as well as the Falcons’ first and fourth round picks in the 2012 NFL Draft.

The Browns traded the 27th overall pick and a third round selection to the Kansas City Chiefs and moved up to the 21st spot.

I think that is a great return for the 6th pick.

Cleveland Browns earn a passing grade on draft day, says Tony Grossi

It is a great return for moving down...however picking Phil Taylor afterwards was just bizarre to me.

he is a great big nose guard who is built to anchor a 3-4 defense.

Their new DC Dick Jauron is implementing a 4-3 defense and it "looks" to be a horrible fit from that perspective.

Also with such a young QB in McCoy and a glaring need for someone to get open for the kid, the player chosen is even more puzzling. 29th on offense overall last year...just weird to me, but I like Holmgren and very much trust in him when it comes to personnel so maybe he has a plan for it all that makes some sense.

I have heard rumors he was only picked as trade bait as alot of 3-4 teams need a nose tackle. Risky if you cant pull off a trade but.

I'd consider Bush a bust when you take in all of the hype surrounding him. I was mostly talking about linemen from USC, but if you want I can name four big busts off the top of my head in Leinart, Jarret, Bush, and Williams.

The botched trade saved them a pick because they got their man anyway. They were convinced, as was I, that the Chiefs would take the Tackle from Wisconsin or at least some tackle.

I used to despise the Titans, but they have drafted two players that I absolutely adore the last two years. I'm going to have to admit that I'm a closet Titans fan now.

I hope Locker is a stud for 15 years and proves everyone wrong. They don't make better people.

After dealing with a selfish, dumb, immature, irresponsible and overrated Young for years, it's a great move to go with literally, the opposite type of QB and person in Locker.

It's too bad that Fisher isn't in Tennessee anymore. I think, without being forced to rush him into a starting role, he could turn Locker into a solid long term NFL quarterback.

Pats take Ras-I Dowling with first pick of 2nd round. Great player, but does it address needs?
I guess we will have a very strong secondary once again.

He was viewed as one of the top cornerbacks in the country prior to last season, before injuries derailed his final season. However, he has been impressive in workouts leading to the draft and has the combination of size, speed and skill to be an outstanding cover man in Bill Belichick's aggressive scheme.

What are the thoughts on Robert Quinn #14 to the Rams. Spags won't take players with character issues, so since he was suspended for 1 year, and must have provided the right answers to get drafted by the Rams, what does this guy bring.

Happy with the pick taking a defensive player, and not reaching for a receiver. Spags had a awesome defensive line in New York, and his ends would burst through tackles and get upfield quick. He loves the high energy players, that keep going and push through. Chris Long on one end, and Robert Quinn on the other? Is this going to be a dream tandem for Ram's fans?

I am beginning to wonder if Mallett can fall all the way to #79, the Fins next pick. If not, its very likely the take a RB.
