About 12 minutes by car.
About 16-20 minutes by bike (stupid cold and snow)
About 30 minutes by transit - bus, train, bus/walk.

I've done the 45 minute commute by car in rush hour, and promised myself never again.
I'm from a small city, basically anywhere is 10-15 minutes. The last thing I want to do in the morning is be up and travel for an hour when I could be sleeping, or after work be home with my friends/family. I have no intentions of spending countless hours of my life merely commuting for work.
A major career goal of mine is to live close to work.

45-60mins... express bus in the am. Train-bus in the afternoon.
Don't mind it at all, adds 60-90mins of sleep to my day.

For me, it's a 30 minute walk door to door.
When it's cold, I drive to Sunnyside and take the train, which can be as quick as 15 minutes or as slow as 1.5 hours...

The Harris Interactive poll commissioned by The Workforce Institute also revealed that 48 per cent of people said commuting has a significant impact on their job satisfaction
I guess this is further to why people lie or are so piss poor at properly measuring their commute times.

i live in chestermere and work near the south Costco. It takes 30 minutes (average) to drive in rush hour. The worst was two weeks ago when it snowed and it only took 45 minutes. I have done in as little as 20 minutes (10:00 pm)

about 20 mins +/- 5 depending on traffic, but it drastically shoots up on those crummy snowy days, i've spent an 1-1.5 hours in traffic, that's from.
used to live in parkdale and the commute was glorious, but then we went and had this kid...

40 minutes from Signal Hill to McLeod and Southland in the summer, 50-60 minutes in the winter. That includes a stop off at the daycare to drop off/pick up my daughter.

About an hour - door to door - from Citadel to downtown using bus & train. Don't mind it too much, gives me time to catch up on news, podcasts, etc

I was. Then it was a 3 hour nap in the morning driven by depression.
But hey, part of the purchase price when spending twice as much as everyone else for a tiny old house is getting to brag.... no, a DUTY to brag about your short commute as frequently as possible.

Does anyone take Elbow drive downtown every morning? We're moving and my wife will be doing that soon enough and I'm wondering what kind of a commute she's looking at.
For comparisons sake right now we're in Mckenzie and she either goes Deerfoot to Blackfoot or through Ogden so it's not like her commute is fantastic right now.
