It went to May 15 last year, no reason why it won't go that late this year.

Am I right in thinking the original arena management deal was 500,000 per year including costs and the new managent deal with Hulsizer is approx 25 million a year excluding costs?

I have a hard time seeing Gary Bettman ever admitting he made a mistake. Thats what he would be doing by moving this team back to Winnipeg. Its not going to happen.

yes - and then the city will turn around and pay hulzier a fee of $95 per cupcake to manage the whole shebang - of course hulzier must borrow money from COG to buy it all.......

I'd imagine most of those pro athletes stay in Menlo Park.

I doubt that. It's not a bad little city, but hardly the area to be if you've got pro athlete money.

This seems hard to believe - as I recall the moose orignally moved from Minnesota - the teams has been in Wpg since 1996. It seems to make very little sense that you would bring the yotes back home and hang the same name on the franchise as the current team.
To me you start again - make some new history - why link yourself to a minor league team......but what do i know.

Just move them out of Phoenix already. It doesn't work there and it never will. Winnipeg, Quebec, Hamilton, Kansas City, the lost city of Atlantis, ect... Any one of them is better. Just get it done.

"You don't want to go to lost city of Atlantis, right?" Bryzgalov said after the Coyotes lost to Detroit, Wednesday night. "Not many people live there, not many Russian people there. Plus it's wet and at bottom of sea. There's no excitement except running from sharks. No park, no entertaining for the families, for the kids. It's going to be tough life for your family cause they all drown."

Maybe we should have the title of this thread changed from "Matthew Hulsizer: We have everything we need to close" to "Matthew Hulsizer: We DO NOT have everything we need to close."
Or on a serious note, maybe just "The Phoenix Coyotes Saga".

Sid, when do you expect the NHL to say enough is enough publicly? Assuming they cant drag on with 2 schedules because of the AHL and Canucks interests, can they force Phoenix to pull a last second deal or move the team finally within the next month? Seems like times getting short, whats your opinion on a drop dead "week".
I would personally guess the week starting May 23rd we would have answer before end of day Friday.
Just my guess.

So irrelevant that they've brought this transaction to a halt.
Somebody needs to photoshop Bill Daly as the Iraqi Minister of Information.

Well then, pull the trigger gun slinger Daly!!
You know the NHL head office's ego has clouded their judgement when they'd rather pull the trigger on something they'll get sued over while using taxpayers money to continue to piss away at a hopeless experiment just because they are afraid to be proven wrong. Man I'm really legitimately starting to hate them. Their arrogance knows no bounds, they are like a hydra or something.
The NHL head office = a bunch of clowns. I hope so badly this blows up in their face.
It's sports you dipsticks, give the game back to the people that care about it. Screw your dreams of global conquering.

No, its business. And I doubt very much that the operators of a $3 billion business are fighting this hard to save the Phoenix market out of a fear of being "proven wrong".
