Jim Carey also signed up for season finale.
http://ca.news.yahoo.com/jim-carrey-...153636256.html

Make that Carey, Ricky Gervais, Will Arnet, Ray Romano, James Spader appearing. Ferrell will still be there as well? What a lineup.

Jim Carey? Love that cameo!!!! The show is not going to go down without a fight, I'm excited for it! Sounds like it will be all of them interviewing for the job, so each cameo should fit nicely into the hour long episode.

Last nights episode was an Office classic. May be the only time I can say that Meredith Palmer has stolen an episode. Great moments last night.

Next week is Carrell's last. Considering the heat Season 1 took and the success of the UK Office, I'm not sure anyone else could have made this show work, besides Steve. So many fond memories of Michael Scott, especially season 2 and 3. One of the greatest of all time

anyone else notice that Ferrell's character seemed to be completely different from episode 1 to 2?

I liked him a lot more in last night's episode though so I am not complaining

finale sounds like it should be great, expect each guest star gets a segment or something on being the new boss

I think we will see a little more of some characters more then other, and mostly in the interview process.

I really have to applaud Ferrel last night. Have not seen that type of comedy out of him before, and I thought he nailed it.

I don't know where they're going with this small storyline, but I think something's happening with the mention of the Scranton Strangler. Toby said on Thursday's episode he thinks they got the wrong guy.

It just gets a small mention every few episodes, but it's got to be deliberate.

Thought it was an excellent episode on Thursday. Very emotional moment when the group sang Michael that song and he started to tear up. I don't think that was acting.

Between that and Michael proposing to Holly a few weeks ago, I didn't expect to be so emotionally invested in Michael's reign on the show ending.

IIRC, the first mention of the Strangler was when Jim and Pam's baby was born and Andy made them a gift of framing the front page of the local newspaper for the day she was born.

When he first showed it, the headline was something nice and fluffy like "Spring has arrived in Scranton", but then Pam's labour took longer than expected and the baby wasn't born until the next day. So, he changed the gift and put the next day's paper in the frame and it was something like "Scranton Strangler Claims Another Victim" with a bloody photo of the crime scene.

Since then, they've used the Strangler as a random comment every once and a while. Then, they used his trial as a way to write Toby out of the storyline and bring Holly back into the picture while he was on jury duty.

I think this week's mention served two purposes: First, to remind people why we haven't seen Toby for such a long time (he was on jury duty); and second, to show us that Toby is still a mousy loser who nobody (especially Michael) really listens to when he talks.

I didn't enjoy the entire office singing. If I wanted to watch Glee, I would.

And the Dundees didn't have the same "magic" as the previous one. Michael's rap intro and his energy made that one memorable. This one felt empty. If it wasn't for Erin's little speech, the entire award ceremony would've been completely forgettable.

My favorite Dundie moment:

Michael: The Dundie award for "Longest Engagement" goes to Pam Beesley.
Michael: Pam, everybody! [starts clapping]
Michael: Whoooo! When is that girl gonna get married? That's what I have to say. Ah, Roy's accepting.
Michael: Thank you Roy. Are there any words you'd like to say, on Pam's behalf?
Roy: Ah, w-we'll see you next year.

I agree. I don't think the song and his reaction was acting at all, and the ones that he really annoys were also singing along (Toby, Angela, Stanley).

Hopefully the Scranton Strangler is just a side story and nothing more, don't want a good office comedy ruined by something mysterious. (I'll watch Dexter for that).

That's the second straight office episode I've shut off and eliminated from my DVR halfway through.

Blech and unfunny.

If they're making small cameos like Ricky Gervais' a couple episodes it will be fine, but otherwise it's too much star power to cram into too few episodes

Too many cooks spoil the broth.

It sounds like the cameos are all going to be short clips from the interview process trying to find Michael's (and probably Deangelo's) replacement.

It should be interesting with a bunch of crazy characters, but not necessarily a good episode of the The Office.

Yes because it's fair to compare a 60 minute show that is all about singing to one 30 second clip from an episode.

And nothing will have the magic season 2 did, especially when comparing it to the first Dundies, arguably the best episode the show has ever produced.

I've never really found Micheal Scott's character particularly funny, except for the memorable "house party with Jan" episode where I howled, although I've found Steve Carrell funny in just about anything else he's done.

I've tuned in for every other character.

That last scene was weird with Toby bringing up the Scranton Strangler. Seemed like some foreshadowing to me.

That's so bizarre. I mean if thats why you did, thats cool, but that's so weird. The Office was always so much more Michael centric then say a show like Parks and Rec... which all other characters star more.
